SylglasASTCL Anti-Slip Tape 50mm x 3m - Clear

I bought this to put on the steps for cabin bed ladders. My daughter fell of her bed and said she had slipped when coming down the ladders but I have since found out she slid down the ladders head first because she wanted to be superman. I found this tape and bought it. It arrived before the expected deliver date. I cut it to the sizes I needed for the ladders and stuck it on very easily. I have tried it out myself and the tape feels very strong when stuck down. No one will slip with this stuff it has good grips on it. I have enough left over for anything else that seems slippy around my house and garden.

Easy to use and does the job. But it's expensive and only 3m (so it will only do 6 steps - less than half an average set of stairs). Also, it is not 'clear' as claimed, it is more translucent - not too noticeable, but still far from unobtrusive.I am also worried about the 'Velcro-like' surface picking up bits of fluff, etc - it doesn't look like it's going to be easy to clean!

Probably good for stairs, but no good as non-slip tape for other purposes. Because it has a raised gritty texture, it actually reduces the surface area so will not be anti-slip on hard surfaces. Only on soft surfaces like the sole of your shoes. So no good for my purpose of using it to stop a piece of furniture slipping on a wood floor.

This tape really lives up to the previous reviews! We have painted stairs in our house and they are extremely slippery, after 3 accidents I bought this tape. I have put the anti slip tape on and since then we have had no accidents. The tape was attached 1 month ago and it still sticks without failure. I have also stuck a piece just outside the door on our stone terrace, which is also very slippery, it has been exposed both to heat, sun and rain and it still sticks perfectly.This is really a best buy!

Fitted to replace a similar product that had finally lost its grip surface after 10 years on wooden steps.Sylglas when on OK and looked good when first installed but quickly started loosing the abrasive crystals which are glued to the surface of the tape. Now about one year later the grip has gone completely and just the shinny slippery tape remains. I am now having to replace it all once more. Avoid this product.

It does exactly what it says. I have put it on my carpeted stairs at home and I feel much safer with the kids as the carpet was so slippery. Doesn't ruin the carpet. It is not clear as it's an almost whitish transparent sandpaper with raised particles in the tape - on my grey carpet it's not too bad but I can imagine on a dark carpet it's sticks out vividly. Ruins socks and tights. To do a whole set of stairs you would need 2 rolls. Overall I am pleased.

Used this to give my dog some grip when he's got his head out the van window and paws on the windowsill, it works great so he's not sliding all over the place.

I ordered this tape for my slippy ceramic outside steps. I couldnt find anything in Slovenia which was so subtle looking and the reviews I read before made me think it could work...It does! its great. I followed the simple but practical application instructions and so far it works. It looks fine and i am really happy i can walk safely down my steps and dont worry anymore about visitors falling. Thanks a lot. Delivery from Uk was prompt and inexpensive and I cant fault the product. Would recommend.
