**Q: Could the ph meter with the Spear Sensor be used for accurate ph testing of soil?**
A: Dear customer,
the PH60S is unfortunately not suitable for direct soil testing. We recommend the Apera Instruments PH850-SL, PH8500-SL, and LabSen 551/553 as the
junction structure of these models is not going to be clogged by small particles.

**Q: Can you please tell me where can i get the replaceable spear electrode / sensor if needed?

**Q: What is the best option for ph level testing pinpricks of blood. the spear or flat sensor? what about for skin?**
A: Dear customer,
for testing the pH of the skin we recommend the PH60F (flat sensor), this has been specially developed for surface measurement. It is also suitable for samples with a small volume, such as pinpricks of blood. Liquid samples can be diluted with distilled water if necessary. The PH60S is more suitable for pH testing of food.

### ⭐⭐ Wouldn't calibrate, UK warranty worthless.

So I went through (or tried to go through) the calibration procedure on receiving my PH60S. It refused to calibrate, with the reading continually jumping round by over a hundred times it's claimed accuracy. I went through the troubleshooting guide - no joy, so raised a support issue with their main office in the USA. They handed the issue over to Germany, who handles support & warranty issues for Europe. They just advised me to return it, as the import/export duties to get it repaired or replaced (they have no service centre in the UK) would have been about £30 each way - so approx £60 for a warranty replacement. So I returned it & will buy an alternative from a supplier that can properly support UK customers.
