Pond water looks lovely with this blue dye

I used 2 small bottles last year in my largish pond. put it in as soon as it started to really warm up, and went the whole season without suffering from the usual plague of blanket weed. the man who looks after my pond's filtration system suggested it. It works! you can still see the fish, and everything looked great. Have purchased the large size this year because its more cost effective.

Was not too sure what to expect but was blown away with the results. Have used it in a water feature and has a great impact. I would advise you to wear gloves when using it as it does stain if you get it on you. If you are using it in a water feature bear in mind that it with stain anything round the feature if the wind blows it onto other areas but that's not effected me using it like the effect it has around the feature.

The media could not be loaded. Crystal clear water is always good to have in the garden pond but the downside is that the fish were easily seen and picked off by the heron.I opted for the black dye as this suggested a mirror finish and dark looking water. In addition, it can also reduce algae buildup as the light does not penetrate as much. Clear instructions are included based on how much water your pond holds.The results are superb. I highly recommend this product and the results are better than I had hoped for. A massive 5 star rating

This was my first time using a pond dye, I'd always had natural ponds before but i wanted that glossy mirror reflection for my new wildlife and barrel ponds.You only need a small amount, i used 10 drops in each pond so the bottle should last well into next summer with regular top ups.As you can see it gives a lovely reflective appearance to the water and hides any bricks and plant pots inside the pond.I definitely recommend this if you have water in your garden.

Decided to try this to suppress blanket weed in my pond. The suggested dosing seemed to give a deep black to the water and it seems to be doing the trick, depriving the weed from sunlight. It may be a coincidence but the last couple of years I used a "plant safe" water treatment to keep blanket weed down which it did but my pond plants didn't seem to do well - no irises, water lily leaves looking ragged etc. This year using no chemical treatment, only this dye, the plants are definitely healthier with more flowers. So I'll continue to use this.When trying to decide the size of bottle to buy be aware that it will dilute as rainwater finds it way into the pond so regular top-ups will be necessary to keep the deep black.

Saw the use of dye on TV so tried it and it works! It’s a small pool and kept getting blanket weed- this seems to stop it. Found I needed to re add the dye though, hence 4 not 5. Not sure if it is cos dye breaks down or it gets diluted by rain water
