Hard-backed, wirebound, easy-rip pages, high paper quality
I always carry pocket note books, either in my inside jacket pockets or an inside coat pocket, so they need to be A6 or smaller, which these are. They also have to be hard-backed so they they can offer support when writing anywhere, and a table or similar fixed surface is not available, which these also are.Additionally, they absolutely need to have a wire-bound spine, as every other notebook I have ever had with a glue-bound spine has broken away from the covers at some point during use, which is absolutely no use to me, and these have wire-bound spines.I also tend to like to be able to write on both sides of each sheet, as the mood takes me, without the ink bleeding through or without the paper tearing, and these notebooks have good, strong paper that does not bleed or break.I could do with a few more pages in each of these but that is nit-picking, and I generally tend to buy three or four at a time anyway, so it's a moot point.Overall, this is the only sort of pocket notebook I would use or recommend to anyone, and a very reasonable price here.

love oxford note pads
I love the paper - so smooth and easy to write on! This is the best thing about these Oxford note books. No hand fatigue like I get with rougher notebooks. The next best thing about these books is that you can slip a slim pen down the spine, one with a clip to keep it in place. Then it's there ready for next time you get a sparklingly good idea and just HAVE to note it down NOW!!There is no bleed through at all with this paper. Even with highlighters. And the clever 'scan the whole page' thing - I have no idea how that works!I have loads of these books, hardback and paperback. They are more expensive than some, but really, really worth it if you take lots of notes like I do.

Great books
This is possibly my favourite brand of note books. They're really sturdy and, I think, value for money. The pages remove really easily out of the ring pull or, if you want, you can remove them from the perforated line on the left margin. That being said, they don't just come away at this perforation and rings - they stay in place until you remove the pages.

Fake or genuine....
Arrived well packed as you expect, easy to open etc. I’ve bought these note books before, this second purchase seems to be a little different. Each page now has annoying little black stamped corners mark on them. Also the rules line are way too dark. I’m wondering it they are genuine Oxford Black and Red note books.

Red & Black A-Z index notebook
I have looked for someone who sells the Red and Black A-Z Index book for a while. I have one already that is very well used as I put into alphabetical order my signing-in details for websites. I record my Username, password and any other info required. Bank details are not kept in here- just in case. This additional book will be used for storing my craft details in an orderly manner. I could do this on my computer, but sometimes it is so much quicker when the book is already at my side and a pen in front on the table. I like the solid covers of the book which protect the inside lined pages, but best of all is the spiral spine so it always lays flat when needed. This is a good quality Notebook and I love using it.Quick delivery and postage under £1 = good value for an item difficult to find in the shops.
