Range Rover The First Fifty: History: Prototypes, YVBs and NXCs the Story of the Early Range Rover

Lovely to be able to follow the existence of vehicles from manufacture to end of life, it was bought for my father and he was extremely impressed as it was different to the usual sort of 'car' book.

Bought as a present- an excellent buy. Totally lost my brother on Christmas Day! A great but for any range rover enthusiast.

I must confess I bought this book thinking it was covering the first 50 years of the RR, rather than the first 50 actual classic RR cars. So there was a little disappointment when I realised it only covered a few early specific examples, and some obscure 'exotica' in the prototype world. But that disappointment is slightly unfair and in no way reflects the quality of the book, just the Amazon sales blurb. As someone who appreciates industrial and engineering history I still found the book interesting, just not quite what what I thought I was going to get!

If you like your Range Rover history, then you will find this book an interesting read. If you are looking for a general overview of Range Rover's then this isn't the book for you, as it just looks at the first 50 (Hence the title). A lot of detail on each vehicle is provided. The only small niggle I have is that the captions (on more than one occasion) refer to the vehicle colour, however all pictures are in black and white. A worth while addition to my collection of Land Rover / Range Rover collection.

Interesting read, didn't know all the heritage of my car so a useful book

Fascism book chock full of information and photos. A must for an automobile library.
