Fabulous steam Iron
Back to an amazing steam iron from my rubbish preset Phillips perfect care. This has an amazing steam output and that was just on the medium setting, easy to use and the iron is light to handle and has a dial to adjust for different fabrics. I like that it can also be used dry .This iron doesn’t disappoint well worth the money.

An iron I've enjoyed to use.
Ironing has never been my favorite pastime and this iron is wonderful for removing creases from overdry washing that's hung around for a while in the basket. The tank holds a generous amount of water so no need to refill so often whilst doing a long stint of ironing. Iron lighter than expected and glides smoothly. I actually enjoyed ironing for once. A little larger than anticipated so unable to stand generator tank on ironing board so needs to be placed on an adjacent surface, table or worktop with access to electricity supply, so you may, like me, be unable to iron in living room whilst watching TV.

Excellent product.Works extremely well and the bonus is, not having to iron with a pint of water, actually in the iron!

Ironing machine
Arrived on time and securely packaged. Whole component is a little heavy but easily manageable. Excellent instructions on use. The iron itself is very light and glides easily. I use it on steam and I’ve never had scorch marks or burns. it really is good to iron every material. Little expensive for an iron but well worth it

I made the decision...
After 20 years of good service, our trusty old steam iron started tripping the house circuit breaker; it was time for it to meet it’s maker. I read some reviews and decide on this Morphy-Richards steam generating model. We’ve never had one of those before, and when it arrived, my wife looked at it with some mild alarm, great big thing that made noises like a barista style coffee machine. Don’t want to sound like some “She does the ironing, I watch the footie” lazy bloke, she does the ironing watching the footie while I wash her car...On to the review, because the steam is generated in the base, the iron is lighter than a traditional steam iron and the time between refills is a lot longer, in fact one fill will do a whole week’s ironing, rather than the 4 or 5 refills required before. But the real difference is the amount of steam: ironing takes 30% less time. The machine itself is self cleaning and only requires tap water, so saves messing about with de-ionised water, although the instructions say you should use 50/50 tap/de-ionised, we use filtered water from the kitchen tap and all seems fine. Everyone who uses it remarks on the speed at which you can get ironing done, it really makes that much difference. In terms of build quality, the plastics are well fitting and look to be built to last, the temperature dial is the only slightly disappointing thing, it feels a bit flimsy and does not have the iron with the dot symbols like our old one does. Most clothing has these symbols, it’s not a deal-breaker, but as this is the major user control, just a bit more quality here would add to the overall feeling of good build quality of the rest of the machine. Overall, a good purchase, I am hoping that it is even half as durable as the last one and I’ll be happy.

The Only Thing it Flushes is your Money
I previously had a Morphy Richards iron which worked well so I upgraded to the new model based entirely on the adverts billing it as "entirely self cleaning." Wow, amazing and convenient. To quote their description of the product, "Auto-Clean prevents limescale clogging the soleplate. No cleaning or filters required. No need to struggle to keep your steam generator clean. Limescale is automatically flushed from the boiler and deposited into a separate part of the tank. All you need to do is pour away."This turned out to be utter hogwash. Despite using the cleaning function, it lasted all of a few weeks before spewing rusty water and then not heating up at all. This happened during lockdown making it next to impossible to return the dumb thing or get any help. The weight and bulk are not exactly convenient either. After giving up on reaching them and reading multiple reviews with the same problem, I realised the issue may be due to limescale buildup, and you are supposed to use of mix of 50/50 tap and distilled water (which is not mentioned a single time in any advert or anywhere I can find Amazon or the company's website before purchasing. I found it in the user manual after trying to figure out why it stopped working. Thus, we are now back using the original iron and I have a new and expensive £220 piece of heavy rubbish. The product is not self cleaning, it doesn't flush limestone, and I say it boarders on false advertising to bill it as such if you have to use distilled water to make it function. What exactly is it flushing if you use distilled water? The answer is your money down the drain. Save it and don't buy.

GOOD QUALTY
Good quality steam iron, producing great steam so making ironing easy and speedy. Absolutely love my steam iron, instructions are easy to understand. Just fill with water, plug in and use. I bought this product to replace a similar model I've had for years. This new one is better because it is Self Descaling. instead of on my old one, you had to unscrew the drain plug on the steam boiler. This one is much easier to work with. I am very happy with my new one.
