Great drawings and educational
These are ok for older kids and adults. The drawings are fairly complicated so it is hard for younger kids to draw on them. My son liked this book and also learned a lot from it. Good inspiration for the imagination.

Dover is the BEST!
Made in America, beautiful illustrations and sturdy construction. These Dover coloring books based on historical figures/places/periods are always a favorite when I'm searching for education fun activities for kids. The fact that they're made in America is great.

Son loves it!
I bought this as a coloring book for my teenager because he loves history and I thought the coloring might help with stress levels. It is wonderfully designed and full of interesting facts about the Middle Ages. I recommend this book for any age, young or old, if they are interested in this time in history. It will help bring it to life, and you’ll get some great pictures, too.

The pages are printed on both sides of fairly thin paper, so ink is likely to bleed through, and the pictures are much too detailed for crayons. Some of the pictures look quite difficult to color; for example, the walled town contains dozens of individual buildings about a quarter of an inch tall. If you like history and intricate adult coloring books, you may love this book, but many of the pictures are probably too difficult for younger children.

Great Coloring books for our Son
These coloring books are very nice quality, and much better at keeping sons interest. My son needs to work on his proper pencil grip, and gets tired of writing.....so this has been a way to encourage him to get better at that while coloring, and having fun. Highly recommend. (In honesty Daddy is enjoying coloring these too.)

Used during our Middle Ages unit at homeschool. Children colored a page as I read text concerning that aspect of the time period and then glued all the pages in a notebook with their notes. Made the unit more fun. And the coloring book even added details of the time period. I recommend the Dover coloring books as supplements to homeschool history.

Color! It's fun!
I love to color, and have loved coloring long before it became the new trend for adults to color for relaxation. This book has some great medieval things to color along with horses, flags, kitchens, medieval clothing and life in a castle other items. It's totally fun.
