For not a lot of money when compared with similar products you get a perfectly decent laundry basket. Sturdy, but lightweight. The overall capacity of the basket is absolutely fine, though in an ideal world I would have preferred to be a little less deep and a bit wider instead. Wider, so that it would be better able to accommodate folded clothes and keep them flat. Less deep, so that there is enough clearance for the door of the washing machine and the door of the tumble drier to be opened while the basket is positioned directly against the machine. These very minor matters aside, it is a sound purchase at the price. I hope you fine these insights helpful.

Not only is this great value for money, but its also a very good laundry basket. Made of polypropylene, its tough (in the technical sense, strong and flexible so it absorbs knocks well and wont break). Its big enough for a laundry load, and light enough to not add to the weight when lugging laundry around. As others have mentioned, it is a little taller than others I have owned, but only by an inch or so, and my other ones didnt fit under washer or dryer doors either, so its just a quick flick to lift one corner and swing the door over the lowered side. The advantage of being taller is than its not as wide; again, the difference is small, but its enough to a) make it easier for my wife to carry it (previous one was just a bit of a stretch, so this is more comfortable for her to carry), and b) its a lot easier for me to walk through doorways without catching my knuckles (no comments please, just because I am male). There are no sharp edges, so its comfortable to handle. I was ever so slightly concerned that being SO cheap it might not be as good as other; I neednt have worried. What else can you say about a plastic basket. Well 'appy.

Great wee basket, does the job.

I bought one of these to replace a Curver washing basket that, unbelievably, split halfway down the side when it fell onto the carpeted floor from a bit of a height. I've got sone Wham utensils and so when I looked on here for a replacement basket it was a no brainer to go for this one over another Curver. The Curver ones are overpriced and not great quality. This one however is perfect. Belying its cheap price, it's well-designed with its curved side to fit snugly next to the hip when being carried, the handles are strong and ribbed, it's sturdy (the Curver actually feels much less sturdy in comparison) and it's not as wide and boxy as the Curver one but instead is a bit narrower but deeper so it hold the same amount of laundry. What more could anyone want in a laundry basket?!

Having struggled on for years with an irritating laundry basket with outward sloping sides which made it impossible for me to balance it on my hip and squeeze myself and the basket through the back door out to the clothes line, or indeed through the door from kitchen into garage where my condenser dryer is located, I thought it was about time I bought something more practical. I was quite glad when the old basket split. This new basket is absolutely ideal and I'm glad I bought two of them. They take up much less space in my small utility room than the old flared ones; they fit snugly against the body when carried full of damp washing so no problems negotiating the back door; they stack together very neatly, taking up very little room where they live on top of the washing machine and, being white, they blend in nicely in the utility room. It is true they don't fit under the door of the washer or dryer, but that's not important to me. If they were shorter, they'd have to be wider in order to take a full load, and I'd have the same problem as before, being unable to get me and the basket through the door. They are nice and compact yet still capacious. They are also made of sturdy plastic, unlike others on sale in supermarkets etc. I am confident they will outlive me. Doubtless folks will think me odd for waxing lyrical about the manoeuvrability of a laundry basket, but some things become more important as you get older! Good quality and value item for the price. Buy two - one for transporting wet washsing and another to store the dry laundry in whilst it awaits the iron.
