Well Written
This is a wonderful book for anyone interested in Reiki or already on their Reiki journey. Penelope Quest has a lovely writing style providing very useful and detailed information in a way that's easy to read and digest. She covers everything here - from Reiki's origins, the different levels, hand positions and more, to different forms including the Japanese tradition. Very informative and enjoyable, highly recommend!

Brilliant book
Ideal for people not yet taking reiki this will guide you to the right corse and teacher. I am still on my 21 day reike and I found this book very informative.

The only Reiki book you'll probably need.
Who would believe that a manual could actually be a page turner! After reading several badly written books on the subject since October (when I took my Reiki One) it was a revelation to actually read a Reiki book where the words flowed and it was a pleasure to read. The content is: thorough, practical, straight forward, informative, well written & researched. Also, I know it sounds rather bizarre but my Reiki definitely got stronger when I started to read it. Seriously, this is a gem of a book and I wouldn't be without it - can't thank Penelope Quest enough for writing it! An instant classic and in my opinion should be on every Reiki practitioner's bookshelf.

Very good but not free of errors.
Very good an informative book on Reiki, however the pages 278/9 contain the information that is incorrect. Penelope suggested that every Reiki practitioner is required to register with GRCCT, or any other regulatory body if they practice on members of public, if you read the information in her book you are under the impression you HAVE to comply with these regulations, but that is not true. As far as I am concerned there is no formal requirement to join any of the organisations, and it is only voluntary membership (I checked their website). For me that makes a big difference and it should be specifically stated I the book. In fact, that information scared me because I am planning to become the Reiki practitioner, and her information, if it was true, meant I would have to post pone my plans until I document all of my cases. Also, there is an error on page 30, in the table it states that Associated life aspects for 7th chakra is 'I have', but it should be 'I AM', huge difference in my opinion. I have not finished reading the book yet, but noticed these 2 issues so far.

Worth every penny!
This book has been so beneficial at every stage of my journey with Reiki. Very easy and enjoyable to read. The best part is this book explains what you can expect when doing each level so that you feel prepared. It helped me to take in the experience more and not be be worried about having to remember lots of information. Highly recommend - can see me referring back to it again and again. (I never leave reviews but had to with this)

This book is a good reference and step-by-step guide to those starting their Reiki journey. Written in a style that is easy to understand it is a joy to read by an author with a wealth of experience in the Reiki field and whose knowledge and experience in her subject is conveyed throughout the pages. I found it to be a great book for dipping in and out of to pick out the particular subject area I wanted at each stage, rather than reading it conventionally, from front to back.
