Q: Does this work with telescopes for astrophotography?

Hi John,The HookUpz 2.0 works great with telescopes! For some telescopes you will need to use the attached lens spacer when attaching to the telescope eyepiece. Always be sure to engage the cam lock on the back of the device to ensure your device has a snug fit on your optic. Q: Does the Samsung Note 20 Ultra work with its lense bulge?

I found the weight of the iphone 7 plus to be the real issue, I sold the Hookupz 2 (on Ebay for £10) as it was just hopeless. Samsung Note 20 is big and heavy yes?

I found that the HookUpz 2 would not hold my iPhone securely, nor would it fit securely on the eyepiece of any of my binoculars. It was fiddly to set up and difficult to keep in place because the plastic construction is just too flexible. Shooting in portrait format, the weight of the phone suspended from the eyepiece is enough to pull the phone's camera lens and the binocular eyepiece out of alignment. The problem is even more pronounced shooting in landscape format. The eyepiece attachment does not hold securely enough so the weight of the phone causes the HookUpz 2 lens mount to slowly pivot in an arc around the eyepiece, destroying any composition that you may have been seeking. Maybe with a tripod-mounted spotting scope with an angled eyepiece you might find it more suitable. You would definitely need a cable shutter release because any touch on the phone screen will again destroy the alignment . . . and add another unexpected cost. My experience of this item is that it's not fit for purpose. I ended up returning it for a refund. Very disappointing!
