4 x XPEL Mosquito Insect Repellent TRAVEL PLUG IN & REFILL FOR EUROPEAN USE - LASTS 45 DAYS

Let me start by saying I had no issues at all with the delivery of the product, it was packaged well and arrived way before it was due.I do take issue with the product itself, as I'm currently on holiday in Italy with 4 of these plugged in, in various locations around the apartment.This product is not 100% effective, which is disappointing given the reviews for this item, it appeared to work for the first few days, then I don't know what happened. But my little boy woke up with 3 bites on his face and 4 on his arms. And I had to hunt down the one mozzy in his room that did it. I have fared slightly better with 3 on my elbow and 1 on my finger.Clearly not all mosquito's are repelled, just reduced perhaps. I would say there are a lot less than we normally have, you still need to use this in conjunction with something you can actually put on yourself. I.e a cream or spray.Other things worth noting are that it has no smell, and it comes with instruction for what is on and off position on the switch.

These devices are a tad cheap and cheerful so, care needs to be taken when plugging them into the mains. It's all too easy to damage the pins.That said, we find them effective both at home and on holiday. At home, we use a UK/EU adapter (not a UK shaver adapter as those have different pin spacing) and a timer set for 8pm to 2am. This minimises disturbing the unit and maximises the time between changing the liquid bottle. We find a bottle lasts about one and a half months. That's pretty good.The unit needs to be positioned in use such that the bottle is vertical. The white mains pins can be turned through 90 degrees if necessary to get the correct orientation.Oddly, buying new units on Amazon (4 for less than £10) is much cheaper than buying refills (~£5 each)! So, even if I break one of the devices, it doesn't really matter, we have plenty of spares!Strange.......

Although I have given a 5 star review I have had a problem with one of the bottles. I have recently been to Crete and had 2 of the plugins on the go and had no mozzi's in the apartment.My only problem was that 1 of the bottles leaked in the suitcase. Couldn't see any cracks in the lid but it leaked out. My suggestion: put them in a resealable bag when putting in your luggage

Arrived fairly quickly. Easy to set up and looked good. We ordered a pack of 4 but unfortunately one broke as we plugged it in. The prongs disappeared inside the unit, it was therefore unusable. Other problem was that you couldn't unscrew the bottles of repellant after use so we had to leave them attached to the plug in unit. They leaked on the journey home. Luckily I had put them in a bag so our luggage wasn't damaged. Not sure if they will be safe to use again though as they are now wet. It's a shame because they appeared to work well whilst plugged in. Not many bites compared to some people in resort (West Africa). Little screw on caps are provided to put back on the bottles but were pointless as you couldn't use them. We had loads of liquid left in each bottle so a bit of a waste really as think we will have to throw them away. Would have given 5 stars if one wasn't broken and you could replace caps for transport.

I'm not sure if these are supposed to be a mosquito repellent or an attraction for them to come and feast on you during the night. I thought the scent was similar to a candle that I used for repelling them in the past, but despite using all four in a small one bedroom apartment, we all got bitten during the holiday. My daughter was especially bad, with large bites all blown up over her arms and legs.I can't see any value in these if they don't work and wish I had paid a higher price for something like jungle that does have an effect.

Not sure if they work as i can not see any mosquettos going near it. I have them all over the house but i have loads of mosi bites on me but are they from outside the house or in i can not catagorically say. I Will continue to give them a try now that i have purchased them. I have one plugged in my motorhome too when away.

Utter rubbish. Useless and god only knows what crap they put in them. It smells dodgy to me. Avoid them and buy the jungle formula at 3 times the price or wait until you land and buy them for 5 euro in any supermarket.

Spent 2 weeks in Greece were mosquitos are rife and i never got bitten once during my sleep! these were amazing and i still have plenty left for my next few trips too! excellent value for money
