Excellent in every way!
I looked for a long time to choose a cabinet for my office and picked this one based on reviews and size. I am very happy with my choice! Mine arrived four days earlier than estimated, which was a pleasant surprise, and I'm very pleased with this item.Assembly was easy and even a bit fun. The instructions were super clear, and the steps were straightforward. I assembled it in a well-lit, spacious room, first taking all the pieces out of the box and carefully leaning them against the wall. I used the cardboard box to protect my hardwood floors during assembly, and one piece of the styrofoam packing made a perfect knee pad!The cabinet was packed very well, with plenty of styrofoam and thick plastic corners to protect it from damage during shipping. I’m always cautious about buying large metal items online, fearing they’ll arrive dented, but this package was well-protected. It would have taken some serious mishandling to damage this product, and luckily, mine arrived in perfect condition.Once assembled and in place, it looks great and feels very sturdy. The doors close with a satisfying click, thanks to the included magnets, and the locking mechanism is adequate for this type of cabinet. To summarize, this is a quality cabinet—take your time with the assembly, and you'll have a great piece for what I consider to be a very fair price. One last note: The final step is attaching the doors (which is also very easy), but I noticed it looked cool without them too. I still put them on, but it could also work nicely as an open-front cabinet. Just a thought!

Good Quality, Easy Assembly, Best Bang for Your Buck
I was surprised for the price + free shipping. The black finish looks great. Zero scratches or dents on arrival. The paint had zero imperfections. It was very easy to assemble. All of the holes and slots lined up perfectly. It seemed to be well engineered and fit together nicely. No weird gaps or misaligned panels. The drawer almost has a soft close feel to it. The magnets hold the doors nice and tight and they swing open and close easily. The packaging was nice. Each individual piece was in a plastic bag with foam separating each piece. The entire unit had hard plastic corners protecting from bumps or drops during shipping. Surprisingly good for a relatively cheap product.

The best of the Chinese cabinets so far
This cabinet is one of seven that I ordered and built for a new workshop area in my garage. There were three different manufacturers. This brand is tops! For several reasons:1. Quality and thickness of steel is slightly above average.2. Directions are good and the little tags on the various parts show part number and part orientation, saving many minutes of reassembly.3. A master key is included as well as individually keyed locks so convenience and individual security is available.4. The lock system is desireable using two sliding bolts rather than a single point of locking rotating small strap.5. The drawer sliders are full extension with very nice, smooth and easy operation (their installation is a snap, literally).6. The drawer assembly is unique and requires bending up of the one piece sides, not sure I like, but it works as long as you determine which direction to bend to.

Surprisingly well-made for the price and origin; packaging could be better, paint scratches easily
These cabinets are made in China. I haven't always been thrilled with products from there as found on Amazon (I could find nothing equivalent to these cabinets advertised as Made in USA or I would have purchased them.) But I encountered no unpleasant (paint) smells, rough edges or manufacturing issues with these cabinets except as noted below. The paint looks flawless on arrival but (after a few days of use) I see it takes scratches fairly easy. I'm using one of these to hold plastic bins (scratches from dragging those in and out of the shelving area) and as an occasional work surface on top. Light scratches are apparent now and I may add something to protect the top surfaces at least. The directions were coherent and well-illustrated. All parts fit together, really quite ingeniously and precisely. I am somewhat adept with assembly and tools and assembled each cabinet in less than an hour. A powered screwdriver will speed the process, but do the final tightening with a screwdriver to avoid stripping out the metal holes (one hole did strip out so I replaced the screw there with a larger one I had on hand.) It will help to have some room to spread out the parts around on the floor, and grab each clearly-labeled panel or piece as you need it.I ordered one cabinet with a single large drawer with 2 doors below it, and one cabinet with 2 doors only (both in black and same height). Together these fit exactly a space I needed to fill in an office. The metal is not nearly as thick as say a Steelcase desk has, and the drawer is surprisingly lightweight, but it moves in/out OK, and the doors close firmly and securely without any issues of fitment or warping whatsoever. The locks work OK except for one lock that doesn't readily accept its keys but it does work and will probably "wear in" eventually...these standard locks I think can easily be replaced BTW. Each one has a separate key so I have 3 sets of keys between the 2 cabinets I bought. Would be convenient to put in locks all keyed alike perhaps.I'm going to take off one star for the packaging (and the paint issue mentioned). See photo of packing material. Although these made it to me all the way from China with only one slightly bent shelf (easily bent back into shape as the metal is not super thick) one of the boxes was missing two large chunks, the size of a sheet of paper, which someone (perhaps FedEx) had patched with other cardboard and tape. Perhaps I should blame FedEx but a plastic strap or strapping tape around these heavy boxes might have helped avoid this. Also, there is a large quantity of styrofoam packing material in each box. The equivalent of a medium trash bag full, per box. The pieces are ingeniously packed as compactly as possible, but this styrofoam is non-recyclable and will go straight to the landfill except for a couple of large flat pieces I hope to re-purpose as insulation in a camping trailer. How about using an alternative such as molded cardboard or the like, something that can either be recycled or that at least will compost eventually?

Nice size and decent quality
Bought this to store weapon paraphernalia (extra ammo, ear protection, targets, cleaning kit, etc). It's got a lock but that's only gonna keep the honest folk or kiddos out. This is not a security cabinet. Nice size, can hold a fair amount. Took about 20 min to put together but instructions were clear and easy to follow. I like it
