Fantastic item for a very reasonable price

The microscope is a good child's introduction to a multi-lens microscopic world but is rather more a toy than a frequent use instrument.The focus is such that the lenses have to be almost touching the slide for the subject to be defined and there are slight differences in alignment of the 3 lenses on the turret, no matter how careful you are in rotating and stopping them, such that you have to realign the slide slightly for each one. Obviously the field of view is quite restricted.My (clumsy) 7 year old granddaughter uses it quite capably though and so ease of use is good. She enjoys the unfolding of miniature secrets of nature.

Fab great good for children learning qauilty product no issues

ordered this product as a gift for my grandson, but unfortunately, to my surprise, the product is of very poor quality. It is made of light plastic and the light does not work at all. Basically, even if you shine a flashlight, you can't see anything that could be used for educational purposes. I would not recommend my friends to buy this product.

Gave this a try with my nephew and ended up getting drawn in myself. He had no trouble setting it up on his own, and within minutes we were peering at onion skins and bug legs. The built-in light helped a lot when the room wasn’t that bright. Linking it with a phone made things much more fun since he could record and zoom without squinting. The whole thing feels stable enough, especially considering how much it got picked up and moved around. Great for short attention spans – we managed a good hour of use before he moved on to something else. Noticed he’s gone back to it a few times since, without any prompting. A good way to mix curiosity with a bit of learning.

Alot smaller than it appears in the pictures and also very very light so not very sturdy. Found it quite hard to use so not really appropriate for the ages range advised. Overall was very disappointed when my son opened this on Christmas Day.

This microscope kit is a great way to introduce children to science in a fun and hands-on way. It comes with a sample feather slide already included, which is really useful for beginners. You can get started straight away without needing to prepare your own samples, which helped keep our child interested from the beginning.The built-in LED light works well, and the mobile phone holder is a fantastic addition. Once we managed to set it up properly, we were able to project the microscope view onto a phone screen and then mirror it to the TV. This turned it into a group learning experience and made everything much more exciting.The microscope is pretty lightweight, so it needs a steady hand, but for the price it is brilliant. The magnification is decent for a children’s educational toy and helps spark curiosity.Overall, this is a thoughtful and well-designed starter set that offers great value and educational fun.

Great Christmas present for inquisitive young minds. Comes complete with small tool kit. Good value for the money.
