It usually sits above the water line. It does not impede the flushing action at all. Once inserted it typically sits above the water line & is now 40” tall. It would require a lot of effort to urinate higher than that. That is why we have only two sizes, the Standard which is 28” tall & the Junior which sits 24” tall & when the Junior is inserted into the toilet it is 36” tall. Thanks **Q: Can the small urifunnel fit a bedside commode?** A: A bedside commode model is one of the choices. I have it to fit in our toilet which has a bidet seat, and it fits very nicely. A bidet seat shortens the circumference of the regular toilet bowl and it is then very much like the circumference of a bedside commode.
