Bought this to replace my £35 metal frame B&M coffee table as I was in desperate need of blanket storage. Was a bit anxious about the condition as many reviews show significant damage. Mine only had a few little nicks that were barely noticeable so was content to put it together. The assembly is fairly straight forward and secure, though a word of advice: if assembling alone, attach the lid with the chest lying on its back, it will make it significantly easier! I was definitely thrown by the concept of drilling my own holes into a pre-fab piece of furniture; while the legs are optional, the lid hinge already has one set of holes pre-drilled. In the video you can see one of the holes in the lid from my incorrect first attempt. I opted to install wheels rather than the plastic box legs provided. The lid also catches a little when being opened which is that noise in the video, but not sure how to fix that yet. Over all, I think it's a very pretty and sturdy bit of furniture and significant cheaper than similar tables. HOWEVER. I'm definitely going to put a couple layers of varnish on the table top as saying the wood veneer is wafer thin is being generous. I accidently peeled a little bit off with MASKING TAPE when putting on the wheels, so a steady coffee cup on the surface may do significant damage! Price was £37.99 at time of purchase.

Looks fabulous when put together. The individual pieces are not labelled, but if you follow the instructions it goes together easily. Other reviews mentioned problems aligning the lid, but I had no problems at all. The only negative is that there is no pilot holes for the feet. I’ve used it for folded clothes & it holds three stacks easily. It’s also strong enough to sit on. The colour matches my wardrobes perfectly. A very versatile addition to any room.

The ottoman is okay for the price, but putting it together was a headache. The right panel wasn’t marked, and I didn’t realise the three small holes were a clue, so I ended up attaching it on the wrong side. That messed up the door hinge retainer, and when I tried to close the door, one hinge came off, pulling the screws with it and damaging the black panel. On top of that, the top piece arrived chipped. I kept it anyway since I’d already waited several days for delivery. It’s cheap, and I doubt it’ll survive being taken apart, but it does the job if you’re willing to deal with the hassle.

I never leave reviews, however we are really pleased with the ottoman. It's a lovely sturdy piece which matches our ikea light oak furniture perfectly. There was a small mark on the lid and the seller could not have been more helpful and quick to respond. Thank you, finished off our room brilliantly.

Totally waste of money !! Don’t bother buying this at all
