Morphy Richards Accents Special Edition 4 Slice Toaster, Blue

My wife and I decided to go colour matching with our kitchen equipment (we chose the Sand)...this toatser and a kettle...When we opened the box both items oozed quality and like any equipment the proof of the pudding is in the operation. After initially testing that everything worked,I shortened the lead by storing the excess in the base...this was a little tough but once done it now looks great and is that little bit safer not to catch it while messing on the work surface.My first piece of toast was a Mega thick slice and it took it with ease and when done it just popped up and was perfect ( I set it at number 3 for testing)...and came out light to dark brown all over evenly...I was impressed as other toasters I have had in the past have been patchy...I also tried a thinner slice and this came out perfect just the same.I will at this point just like to mention the knob for selection of browning...There's nothing special about this and it's nothing more then a timer...this is how All toasters work (the longer you leave it in the darker the bread gets)..I mention this because some people actually believe the toaster knows how brown your bread gets by adjusting the numbered knob... We have in the past always used the grill on the cooker for making toast with perfect results and great tasting toast but toasters we had in the past were never capable of giving us what we liked....However.... I'd also like to pass on a small tip which I learnt.To supposingly get the perfect toast,it should be cooked as quick as possible and this in turn cooks the toast on the outside quickly but still keeps the inside fluffy and soft and not just a dried out piece of cardboard (something I'm sure most people hate) and because this is a traditional toaster I switch mine on for one cycle then quickly put the bread in while the toaster is still hot and hey presto...Great toast.!!.:) The buttons are easy to read and 2 of the buttons have an accent light to tell you they are activated...these are the bottom 2 buttons...Reheating and the defrost...I can't comment on how well these work as I doubt I would ever use them...but I will test them at a later date and if any negatives I will repost....The finish of the toaster has a textured feel and the outer covering a highly polished chrome...a typical finger magnet,but great looks have drawbacks so just be warned...While I'm on the outer finish.. I found the outside was reasonably cool to touch on the sides,but do not attempt to touch anywhere near the slots....obvious to many but you'd be surprised how many think this should be cool too.. Overall..we are very pleased with this toaster...it's very well made.. very stylish and cooks toast great..We would highly recommend it.!!

Great toaster!. This is a really good looking peice of equipement for the kitchen and does a very good job. Easy to use, good at toasting (not a stupid statement as some arent). Four slots and is quicker than more toasters that I have had. Great value for money as well. Does what you want it to. Simple to use.

The media could not be loaded.  I love the look of this toaster and was quite impressed with its performance too. The depth of browning isn't the same on both sides (it tells you that in the instruction book if you toast just one slice) but that isn't an issue - both sides are toasted and the toast is lovely and crisp.Not sure why the browning dial goes as high as 7 because anything over 2 is likely to burn the toast.Warburtons bread stuck out a bit at the top but somehow it still got fully toasted with no undone patch at the top. Some other similar sliced bread will fit in sideways ok.The best bit of this toaster though (and some have seen this as a negative) is the wonderful way in which it delivers the toast - see video. I just love it. Saves burning my fingers fishing out the toast.I'd have given 5 stars but the cord length is the shortest I've seen on a toaster which means I can't position the toaster where I want to.

So, this is the 4th Toaster ive tried, and the 3rd from amazon, and am happy to report i've finally found one that properly fits the whole slice of bread without turning it sideways!!We use Warburtons bread, which is quite large and square, and usually has up to an inch of bread sticking out the top of toasters, meaning you end up having to flip it and re-toast. Others we've tried meant you had to have the bread sideways, but then ended up with uneven toasting.So far (and it's only been a couple of days) i am happy to report this toaster meets all expectations and gives a really nice even toast across the whole bread....so far so good!!

Lovely toaster. Does the job. An improvement on my old Sainsbury’s own 2 slicer as the bread fits all the way in. Level 3 gives a lovely result for normal sized sliced bread and the bread pops up high enough to take out easily without being thrown out.One extra thing to point out is the toaster is not jet black as in the picture but more like a chrome dark grey/black. I actually prefer it so it was a pleasant surprise but it might make a difference to some people so I will include a photo

This toaster is very attractive. The metallic red finish in high quality and looks classy.The toaster can be used to toast two slices independently or four slices which is a handy feature. In addition, the toaster has useful features like a defrost setting and a reheating function for times the toddler distracted you and you forgot about your fresh warm toast.Other reviews have complained that it pops up too energetically however I am not finding this an issue. It is a reasonably powerful pop but the bread does not fly out.I am extremely pleased with the purchase.

Had this toaster a year now. Does a good job and holds larger slices than most. Good range of browning adjustments - separate for each of the pairs of slices so you can even toast two sorts of bread or toast for two different people's preferences at once. Has a lovely "ping", which is to say it doesn't literally ping but it does send the toast up with a fair degree of force. Watch out for lighter slices as they can leave the toaster altogether. Just adds to the charm...!

Very nice toast. Works great with two independents sides. Power cable a little bit short but easy to extend.

Auch wenn die Springfedern des Toasters die Toastscheiben anfänglich etwas zu hoch aus den Schlitzen katapultiert haben, bin ich mit dem Gerät sehr zufrieden.Die hohe Sprungkraft legt sich nach ein paar Mal toasten wieder.Der Toaster hat ein tolles Design und ist es echter Hingucker in der Küche. Nachdem mein alter Toaster in Flammen aufgegangen ist, war ich mehrere Wochen auf der Suche nach einem schönen und nicht zu teuerem Toaster.In die Schlitze passen große und kleine Toastscheiben und eckige Brotsorten. Da ich mein Frühstücksbrot gerne toaste, war es mir wichtig, dass ich auch Brot toasten kann.Qualitativ erscheint der Toaster auch hochwertig. Der Toaster wird auch Großbritannien geliefert, hat aber einen Stecker, der ich deutsche Steckdosen passt. Die Farbe stimmt auch mit den Bildern überein.Wer also auf der Suche nach einem coolen Retrotoaster ist, kann dieses Gerät auf jeden Fall in die engere Auswahl nehmen.
