Impressive specs, easy install.
1st time building an Asrock, many years with Gigabyte. I like the features of the asrock z790 for the price. Installed a 12th gen i5 12400, 980 samsung nve, team ddr5 ram, and an asus gtx 980. 1st off-brand power supply doa, ordered a Corsair 850. Auto download and install of drivers worked flawlessly.

Affordable quality built DDR5 board that supports bothe Alder and Raptor Lake CPU's
It was time to update and upgrade my tower computer. I was looking for a motherboard that supported the latest processors, DDR5 memory and had more than one or two PCIE card slots. This board has 5 slots, one which will be hidden by the width of most modern graphic cards. It supports 128 GB of memory. The installation manual could use some improvement and guidance on what fan connectors should be used when running water cooled. I'd also like to see more detailed information of UEFI (BIOS) settings. Came with downlevel BIOS which was easily flashed to the latest version.

Running with a rock solid CPU and GPU.
This board running with a 13700k and 3070ti is a beautiful thing.Everything snappy and responsive. Plenty of USB A ports and a few USB C ports.Its what I wanted in a board with a decent cost associated.
