It works better than not having one
This chuck is quite a bit smaller than my previous units but works just the same. The which release saves time over using a manual chuck key style, I still need that one for drilling thick metal. While it locks well, the smaller grip doesn't let me get as much tension on the bit itself. For the price, its well worth it for the ability to use my impact driver as a drill in a pinch.

“…Chuck E’s in Love…”
I bought that screw driver in 2017 w/ a bit kid never thinking that it won’t take drill bits. I’ve used id for everything else though… Anyway fast forward to 2025 I had the epiphany to find a chuck for it.Which brings me here. For what I paid and how well this is made I gotta wonder how they make money. It’s your basic chuck but it is really well made. I was concerned about being keyless. Nope. Holds the bit fine. I test drilled through 1/2” particle board. Now I don’t have to worry about losing the key.

Not better than TEMO Keyless Chuck Adaptor 1/4" HEX SHANK !
Not better than TEMO Keyless Chuck Adapter 1/4" HEX SHANK to Conventional or Micro-size Drill bit.I bought BOTH YESTERDAY, and received them today with Amazon Prime 1 day shipping.I am using a 1.05mm Cobalt (not Carbide) drill bit(s) I bought from McMaster-Carr, and let me tell you again, because even though this is #1 Best Selling "IT IS "NOT BETTER" than the Neiko 1/4-Inch Keyless Chuck Conversion for Power Tools.Don't get me wrong, it works very well, and it can hold "tiny" drill bits, but the Neiko 1/4-Inch Keyless Chuck Conversion for Power Tools can hold SMALLER drill bits and and in my honest opinion, the Neiko 1/4-Inch Keyless Chuck Conversion for Power Tools is better quality. They BOTH DO NOT WOBBLE. If you're wobbles or if other people on here that wrote that it wobbles or whatever you want to call it, THEY ARE WRONG.I am drilling 1.05mm (0.04133858") holes (Freehand, no Drill press) into Wear-resistant A2 Tool Steel, Tight-tolerance Rod, 5/64" which is about 0.0781" or 1.9844mm diameter A2 Tool Steel rod for a coil jig I'm making to make very nice coils for RDA's (Rebuildable Dripping Atomizers). I gave this 4 Stars because...01. It DOES NOT WOBBLE.02. It WORKS with tiny drill bits. (1.05mm).03. Well made.. kinda..I gave this 4 stars because it WORKS with tiny drill bits. It also seems that IT WILL WORK with smaller drill bits, but it also seems that the jaws do not meet all the way like the TEMO Keyless Chuck Adaptor 1/4" HEX SHANK can and does.I am using a prick punch I bought from Amazon as well, which is "Starrett 816A Prick Punch, 4" Length, 5/64" Tapered Point Diameter", which as you probably have figured out, that using a "PRICK PUNCH" not a center punch, that it makes my job much easier. The "Heat-resistant Cobalt Steel Jobbers Drill Bit, 1.05mm, 34mm Oal, 9.90mm Drill Depth,135 Deg Point" I'm using that I bought from McMaster-Carr is too large, lol.. go figure.. for the tiny dent the prick punch creates in the tiny 5/64" A2 Tool Steel rod I'm working on.So I just went to Lowes Home Improvement Store tonight and got a IDK.. cant' find the receipt, but it's a scratch scroll for making marking on metal and it also can be used as a center punch. it's quite large, but it's got a nice point on the tip for making that dent the prick punch makes a little broader. I've drilled 3 holes so far, in 3 length of that 5/64" A2 Tool steel, and have not had any WOBBLING or anything like that..I'm not saying do not buy this, because IT DOES WORK, it's just not as smooth as far as the inner workings on this compaired to the TEMO Keyless Chuck Adapter 1/4" HEX SHANK to Conventional or Micro-size Drill bit. Imho, this is 2nd best and the TEMO Keyless Chuck Adapter 1/4" HEX SHANK to Conventional or Micro-size Drill bit should be the best selling item on Amazon. It's probably Best Selling because it came on Amazon first or something idk..Thats my review, and I'm sticking to it.

Well built Looks durable
Bought a drill set years ago. The drill finally went down but I had never really used impact drill. I looked to see if there was an adapter and there were several. I compared them all and this one I felt was the best. Guess what it is. This adapter is very well built. Easy switch from one to the other. I bought the set with chuck and it was well worth it. Looks and feel strong abd durable. Good buy so far.

Convenient
My boyfriend keeps this in his pocket. It's convenient and easy to use. And locks right into place and has a great grip.

Seizes. Look elsewhere.
I bought this to avoid lugging a drill and an impact driver while on the go. I rarely need a drill, only for light duty applications, drilling fiberglass reinforced plastic. This tool has let me down both times I used it, second time was after disassembling and lubricating. As other reviewers have said, the chuck jaws seize open or onto bits. I have taken it apart and greased the jaws, springs, plate, threads. Still seizes. I've been happy with other Neiko products so this is a rare miss.

Size pics and info
I’m leaving 3 stars because I haven’t used it yet.The majority of complaints were about size. I was okay with smaller because I’ll be using this too add rivets to standing seam metal roofing trim and I don’t want anything too bulky.See attached pics to get an idea on how big they are. I ended up buying 2 of them just to see how the quality control differs and they both seem to be solid enough. If I don’t update this thread it was because they were a 3 star product. If I do… you’ll see why.Hope the pics help.
