Amazing little box
We live in a rural location and years ago gave up battling with BT to get a good broadband connection - it used to drop out with the slightest rain or windy conditions for days at a time, and the best speed we ever got was about 2Mb/sec but it was usually a lot slower than that. We accepted that it was probably about as good as we would ever get.I read about using a 4G connection for home internet (mostly from other rural ex BT customers), thought about it for a while and decided to give it a try.Bought this box together with an unlimited data SIM card, and a decent YAGI 4G antenna. Am I pleased that I did!!On plugging in the SIM card and powering up the box on just the supplied mini aerials indoors immediately I had 2M/sec, and we live in an area that according to the network operator doesn't even have an outdoor signal. I now have the proper antenna working attached to the side of the house, and after aligning it for the best signal I was absolutely delighted to see that I have a 40-50Mb/sec service. And.... no dropping out, it just keeps working! The router itself is tiny, but still has 3 LAN sockets, 4 if you use the menu option of using the WAN socket as another LAN socket. The wireless is as good as on our old ASUS router. Plenty of options, more than I will ever need to use, very easy to set up.Overall I am just astounded at how well this box works.

Seriously smart bit if kit
I wanted a router for a robotics project, I had researched many options but the Teltonika really ticked all the boxes and a few more. The functionality I have used so far is the ability to to connect to another WiFi service and use it as a WAN and then fail over to the 4G connection. Currently I use the router in this is configuration to bridge a connection from the office to a field 100m away. The second feature I currently use is the ability to sms the router simple commands and get information back. It also allows me to turn services on and off just by a simple message.Theres also the ability to power this device off a battery(dc to RUT955 cable sold separately). The power range s from 9v - 30v. Having checked the power consumption ratings in the documentation, 24v is the most efficient. My next mission is to deploy a vpn connector directly onto the router using one of its supported services. Some things to be aware of(after 6 weeks of trying and failing)Your mobile service provider will always provide a public IP, but the router doesn't always see it as public, inshort, its public to the mast then private to the router. This is a bit of an issue if you want to ssh into the routerover the Internet using a ddns. The device isn't always great at reporting what speed you actually get. I have linked it to my home network and had 4k streaming services and other network traffic yet the sleedteoshown a connection of 4Mbps down and 1Mbps up, this was obviously garbage seeing as I tracked 100mbps concurrent traffic using a network monitor. To end, great device, smaller than I expected, works great.

Appalling bufferbloat, manufacturer fobbed me off
This is the second 4g router I've had, and this cost double what the last one did. This router, despite being 'professional', suffers from bufferbloat meaning it doesn't handle its local traffic well, causing huge complete halts in speed where you will have absolutely no internet for a few minutes (go and do something else), after which it will cap at about 500kbps. You then have to reset it and it'll be back to normal, where we get 25-35mbps. Needs to be rebooted daily.Worst of it is, on contacting Teltonika, initially they gave some advice (tried, failed) and after that they said, "contact the seller". The manufacturer told me to contact the seller about THEIR product.Don't bother with 4g broadband. I would rather have 5mbps broadband than deal with this crap any more.

Reliable router
Set this up in a boat to act as router from either a Wi-Fi marina feed or via mobile, i.e. 3g or 4g signal. This has worked flawlessly since I installed it. The internet has been steady on both inputs and it is relatively easy to switch between the two. FYI, I'm using a Ubiquiti bullet to pick up Wi-Fi and send the signal to the wan input of the teltonika. My only issue and hence the 4 stars, I upgraded the router firmware shortly after setting it up and then experienced periodic drop outs on Wi-Fi connections to third party devices, i.e. iPad etc. after a lot of investigation it turns out to be the firmware and after downgrading has worked with no issues. I run it 24/7 to access security cameras and fire detectors on board. There is a comment about missing parts below, the unit doesn't come with a GPS aerial and you dont need one.

Awesome product solved all my connection issues with my distance from a cell tower
After Tethering through my mobile and working from home for weeks in this Covid19 lock downThis router is the answer to not have home broadband (not available in my area for fast speed the best they could offer was 6 mbps)This Teltonika RUT955 LTE 4G Router gave me a +20 to 22 DBM increase to the signal from my cell tower which is around a mile away, this is due to the aerials that it comes with, this made all the difference between having applications and VPN dropouts and having a stable and fast 4G LTE connection, Ok I have only used it for one day so far but could not be more impressedIt has allowed to have multiply Ethernet connection to the router so not relying on WiFi but it has WiFi if you want to use it.If like me you are not IT then Teltonika offer a remote management service as an add onAlso the router has a firewall with SMS services builtin so you never mist that text messageIt comes with two 4 inch anteners that help boot the signal and is all I need to improve my connectionI did do a spead test and his router has increased from 5 mbps to 12 mbps as apposed to tethering through a mobile. This router for me was worth every penny and I would recommend it to everyone who uses 4G servicesI am hoping that in the future this will do 5G or Teltonika bring out firmware for 5G or have a future a product for 5G
