Sunartis Wall Barometer Weather Instrument

Seems a fine working barometer and looks good too if you like the traditional wood and brass design.Upon receiving it, as instructed I calibrated it to my area using the screw at the back by setting it to the nearest local pressure reading from the BBC weather website and since then it has been performing okay, which I have proven by rechecking with that website. The advice is to recalibrate every so often, six monthly or annually is sufficient.However, calibration is not that critical because the object of barometers like this is not so much to obtain an actual pressure reading but to show the movement in the figure from the previous day. It is that movement which can give an indication of the weather, not the reading itself.

My partner and I love this barometer! We check it everyday in excited anticipation to see whether it's going up or down and usually it's astonishingly accurate. Its face looks good, however we did paint the mahogany frame a gooseberry green because it was too 'red' for our frontroom..it depends on your taste but it slightly cheapens it's appearance; would be better in a paler wood. That's why I have marked it down one star. Apart from that I would highly recommend it for doing its job.

This is a lovely product which is as described on the site.I bought this one, even though I wanted a more 'modern' look because it had better reviews. Note to the people who make it!It was delivered ahead of the expected time and was packaged really well.

Been looking for a well priced Barometer for a while and this fits the bill. It was already set up for my sea level so just stuck it on the wall.simon

It’s a very smart looking piece of kit. I set it up using the air pressure details in our local weather forecast and it has worked perfectly since then.

Very good quality at a reasonable enough price. Within the capablity of the scale , it tracks pressure shown on my weather station perfectly once both were set up against pressure readings from our local RAF station
