My first pair of Ultrafly 4. Same fit as the Ultrafly 3 - which is a good thing. Love the red color!

From the moment I put them on, the uppers were super comfy & soft. I loved the feel of that material they used. The laces & tongue we're great too; nice & roomy toe box as well. This was all I liked with the shoe. Again, from the time I put them on, the midsoles were hard & very uncomfortable. They never softened up at all, which made my feet HURT. I've been in Altras for 4yrs, but they have been getting more narrow with every new model. This is why I went with Topo, because they're "foot shaped" too. I really wanted to like these Topos, but I had to return them. The midsoles were just too hard & hurt me too much. That upper material was FANTASTIC though. Would I recommend... if you like a soft & squishy midsole, no; if you like a harder midsole, yes. Hope this helps your decision.

With these shoes, you get a wide roomy toe-box and an normal heel fit. I have had to order wide sizes in the past, but I just need the wide for my forefoot. A great relief to find these shoes!
