Good luck putting it back together
I attached the item to the circular scratcher with no issue. You do have to take the corrugated scratcher out of the center to attach the stand at the bottom, then fit the treat holder in. I attached it empty to see if my cat would be interested in just spinning it. When she showed no interest in doing that, I decided to take it off to put food in. Well, once the ball was off, there was no way to put it back together. I'm an engineer and have no clue how they expect these to reconnect. It's just sitting in pieces now on the scratcher. Fortunately the return/refund process was simple.

Best kibble delivery system for cats!
My cat adores this treat dispenser. We use it for her daily "crunchies" and like how it keeps her entertained and active. (And forces her to eat more slowly.)

Overall I'm still happy that I purchased this
My goal with this toy was to get my cat to use the scratch surface rather than my furniture. She loves the circling ball but wasn't interested in scratching even with the addition of cat nip. So I added the center ball thinking it opened and I could insert a jingling toy rather than treats (because as everyone wrote, the holes are too big for those) to increase her interest. Upon discovering the ball doesn't open I forced a 14mm bead through the hole to make it rattle when turned. It is working fairly well. She does scratch as the hits the center ball so there is hope. Overall I'm still happy that I purchased this. She really gets after the circling ball!

My smart cat would rather spin the treatball to get his treats than eat them from a poured serving
I have two cats at present...down from a longtime three or four. One of the cats is super smart and loves to solve puzzles. He now spins the empty treat ball to let me know he wants me to fill it so he can have his treats (my dear departed husband said, "He doesn't think they're treats; he thinks they're 'rights.'" The other cats never got the hang of the treatball, so while smart cat spins the ball, I sneak a treat or two to his inferiors.
