Aluminum Floor Transition Threshold Strip, Door/Carpet/Tile/Threshold Reducer, Doorway Edge Trim for Laminate Floor Mat Carpet and Vinyl Tile (Black, 36Inch)

Happy to have found this transition strip. It was a bit long for my doorway, but my husband was able to cut it with a hack saw, he basically scored it and snapped it. As you can see, I needed to go from tile to carpet at the threshold. My cats had shredded the edge of the carpeting because cats don’t do closed doors! Anyway, this should prevent any more of that business. I was torn about using Gorilla Glue on the tile. I may still do it if my first method doesn’t work out, but for now, I used double sided gel tape, it’s kind of a thick silicone tape.( I’ll post a picture of it ) For now it’s holding well, but time will tell. If you have a situation like mine, get this, it works and looks good. Much better idea than replacing the carpet! P.S. I Chose silver because my door hardware is silver. Looks good.

Looks perfect very sturdy hard to cut only because it's sturdy with the 2 ribs would suggest using angle grinder I did cut it with a hacksaw but was tough I wish it had screw holes to hold it down better but you can put your own in I did over all very please would definitely recommend I bridged a 1/2" gap and it looks great

Worked great for a high transition between floors. Had to get construction adhesive to attach. Hopefully it holds

Much sturdier than expected excellent deal

I placed an order for a 48” threshold and received a 36” threshold. The product appears nice and will work nicely for what I need. However, after the first order was returned I placed another order for the 48” along with a note asking to verify the size. I received the 36” a second time which I returned again along with a note. I got not response from the manufacturer. This product would have a good rating from me if the company could figure out how to send the correct items.

Installed this in a high traffic area and it's holding up very well, it's located at the entrance door to the outside, which sees 99.9% off house traffic. I drilled a few holes in it to secure it in place with screws. After several months, no scratches nor dents as of yet.

The threshold works perfectly .We ordered the grey but received the aluminum colour …..decided to use this one since we are on a timeline to finish project .First time this has ever happened with an order from Amazon-not a big deal

made this work for me because I was not aware there were other, better choices available at the time. Good material. works as advertised. Good for wider doorways when cut to width. Only good for a relatively small transition had to extend 3 inches with cement to make it work For larger wide transitions and steeper transitions be sure to check all available option
