Chocolate Covered Raisins 1 Kilo Bag

Good value for l kilo pack of chocolate covered raisins, various sized pieces in the bag but has to be expected when bulk buying. The sweets are soft and chewy and very morish, I have to limit myself and resist dipping into them. Can recommend trying for the quality and quantity received.

As chocolate covered raisins go,these were delicious and did not melt too quickly. The amount of chocolate was just right , but the size of each was very variable alot of very small ones including drops of just chocolate. Even so I will be getting more.

Got these as a wee treat as I’m housebound with knackered hips at the moment!I have to say that the chocolate used is quite poor quality with a granulated feel in the mouth that you get with low cost chocolate!Would I buy them again? I’m afraid not.

These raisins were purchased to replace an itac Spanish product with a genuine 38% cocoa content for around the same price.The product information of these raisins is very unclear but I would estimate the chocolate content of the coating is very, very low. The actual % breakdown of the coating is not given anywhere on the packaging.Taste - The effect is very sickly leaving an oily aftertaste coupled with a very low melting point. It is a pity as the fruit used is a decent quality. I purchased a much larger 3KG bag of chocolate peanuts at the same time from another seller and hit the same problem but at least they were labelled with a 5% cocoa powder content (when they arrived).Result - they have cured my addiction to chocolate raisins. I ought to give these away but I cannot think of anybody I dislike enough to give them too so the bin looks the most likely option.
