Works as described and only tracks hours when the bike is running

Works as intended if mounted correctly with zip ties(which it has holes for) and included adhesive. This meter has to be manually locked out so the folks in the reviews saying it logs hours while on the truck or trailer aren't reading the instructions.

Works as advertised

Install was easy. I ended up mounting mine to the frame of my KLX300R under the side plastics, but in a place I can still see it and get to the function button. I felt this offered a little more protection to the unit, but still allowed ease of use. The display is clear and easy to read, it functions as it’s supposed to sensing engine vibration. You can change the sensitivity of how easily it kicks on and starts to track, and you also have the ability to lock the hour meter so it doesn’t come on during transport or when you’re moving the bike. Just remember to actually lock and unlock it.

Just not sure if the hours are accurate or not.

You may or may not ever sell your quad or bike and it really is nice to know how many hours of use and whether or not an oil change is due based on that usage. Great product.

Buyer Beware!!! This is a horrible design. We just found out that this is recording time when our PWC is being trailered. As in, it should read about 2.5-3hrs at this point, but it says 4hrs. The only way this adds up is when we figure in the 3 trips to the lake. So much for keeping accurate track of time on the brand new engine we just installed! Hoping to warn people about this CRITICAL FLAW!
