They work beautifully. They're very discreet except for the internal red led. In all it looks like a mini thumb drive, not a micro sd card adapter

These little USB adapter / card readers work well enough, especially for the price. However, I would have paid twice as much to get a reader that was (physically) more robust. I attached a small key tag to the keyring loop at the end, but the first timeI went to pull it out of my pocket the keyring loop had already pulled out of the reader. For all practical purposes the key loop is useless but other than that, it functions, the cap stays on, and the microSD card stays in place as expected.

Smallest, stealthiest card reader ever. Really can go on a keychain without losing it's cover.

All three work perfectly. The metal case keeps the chip cool. I love how the micro-SD is safe inside the USB male insert.

I ordered these for a Raspberry Pi project. Two of the three worked well enough, but the third was a failure right out of the box. Tried it on a Linux box and a Windows PC, and neither would even detect it. I didn't expect much for the price, but I did expect all three to actually function.That's a shame, because I like the design overall. Having the card reader internal to the USB port makes for a streamlined look, and the lanyard ring is a nice touch. It's a bit tricky to get the Micro SD card out of the slot, but that's to be expected.I won't be buying these again -- 33% failure rate is simply unacceptable, even at this price point -- but I do like the concept.

I bought these to use in my car. But my car would not recognize it. Or it would, but intermittently. I would fiddle with it and suddenly it would work. I merely assumed that the micro SD card was not seated properly or that the connections were dirty. Then one day i put it in my laptop and it wouldn't work either. So I pulled it out to clean it and half of the components were left inside my laptop's USB port! Now my laptop's USB port is useless until I figure out how to carefully remove these parts from my USB port without damaging the port. These devices are pure junk!UPDATE: my buddy gave me one of his USB micro SD holders. That works like a charm and has worked flawlessly for me. So I ended tossing all of these that I purchased into the trash. Incidentally I still haven't been able to pull out the broken pieces from my laptop. Avoid this junk!
