The is a large format book that will appeal to children of all ages. It covers 5 different world habitats and is lavishly illustrated. The text makes little concession for a child but is informative with eco-friendly messaging. The book only has 48 pages, but each one is absorbing and detailed - the more you look, the more you will find (some of the more complicated and detailed pages would make fabulous jigsaw puzzles!). The book can be read out loud while the child explores the various things on each page. I liked that the text provided the reader with an atmospheric introduction to each habitat, as if placing you there personally and describing what to expect. The large colourful format will appeal to most children and this book can be enjoyed if you just choose to look at the pictures. So, a pleasure to read, educational, bright and colourful, big, bold and beautiful. If only more children's books were like this! This would make a great gift. Recommended.

This is a superbly illustrated, beautiful, vividly colourful and hugely engaging book for children - but much loved by adults too.The text invites you into the different habitats and the descriptions of the different landscapes and animals found within are smart and enjoyable.I can highly recommend it for UKS2 classrooms for its multiple uses. Children will keep coming back to this book over and over, its simply irresistable!

Stunning book, the pictures are so bright and beautiful, but the great thing about this beautiful book is the information in it and the way it is written, makes it a great adventure through the different gardens of the world.

Stunning book, which I kept looking at in bookshops, I eventually succumbed and it is great ! I used it to inspire art in my classroom too! Well worth buying.

There were two spelling errors in my copy (printed 2015)... really disappointed. I can’t read my kids that! Too bad, because the illustrations were beautiful. Will be returning.
