good quality no issues
I bought these DMs somewhat hesitantly after reading some reviews that claimed these shoes were painful to wear and that the surface started flaking. So far I don't have any problems with them. Yes it does take some time to break into these shoes but you have to be sensible about it: I find it manageable to wear them for a whole day, then wear something else for two days then wear them again, until fully broken in. The surface stays fine, you do get some creasing but that's necessary to allow your feet to flex when walking. They are beautiful, look smart and fit well.

Absolutely love them ... just a bit roomy!
Gorgeous & comfy shoes, true to DM, but a bit too roomy for me (I'm standard UK 5 / 38). I've had to buy some insoles as they were slipping ... however I think 37 (4.5 UK) would have probably been too small ... I'll live with it as they are just superb, nice & glossy, just what I was looking for. They look great with jeans, leggings, skirt & dresses ... and they suit any colour clothing!

Great work shoes
Wanted some smart shoes for work (nurse) that will last. Had DMs before and they lasted years so thought I'd give these a go. They are lovely, very supportive but they do need bedding in, hence the loss of a star. I think that my be due to the patent. I'm sure once I've run them in, they'll be as comfy as my last pair. Don't get me wrong, I haven't resorted to plasters and I don't get aching feet at the end of the day but they don't feel like slippers - yet!

Great shoes for school - once they’re ‘worn in’!
It took my daughter a while to ‘walk these in’ but after a few blisters, a few days rest from them and a good few days of painful feet she got there! Great doc Martens, you can literally pay twice the price for these at other retailers (madness) so I was super pleased to buy them from amazon for half the price we almost paid when we’d tried them on in a store.Well made, exactly as you’d expect from these shoes - I’m glad my 12yo persevered with them for school as they do look fantastic and they clean up nicely too.

DM's still rule
I have 26 pairs now and was quite surprised to see that half of them have come from Thailand, I understand this pair comes from China, but at £[] a real bargain and they fit me well, must admit that most of my older ones are wider and I need to wear thicker socks, but I like the narrower DMs because they look more feminine. Dr Martens have always been pricier than most other shoes and if you want the 'real' British made pair you have to pay for them, which I am happy to do but I still crave a bargain and Dr Martens have provided us with a cheaper shoe that still looks the 'business'. A big thumbs up from me! A word of advice given me years ago when wearing a new pair of DM's, is to rub vaseline on the areas of your foot most likely to be rubbed, heel, side of foot, small toe, then put on socks and shoes and you shouldn't have any blisters, works every time for me!

Exactly what I wanted!!
First impressions great.I purchased my normal size 6. Came up a little loose but I'm okay with that. Sick and tired of this sizing down and going through pain nonsense. Just put an insole in and there perfect.

Price on Amazon was the best I could find
Lovely shoes. At least one person comments every time I wear them. The first time I wore them they really hurt my feet but I can feel them softening each time I wear them. A little larger size wize - I am normally a 6 but the size 6 are a little large. I tried the 5 and they were too small. Shame they don't do half sizes. Price on Amazon was the best I could find. I tried them on in Shuu and in Office and then bought them from Amazon. Would recommend.
