If you turn it in front of a light it does cast colored light effects (Somewhat disco ball esque) but it does not cast rainbows. Very nice-looking shelf bling. Nicely packaged in a gift/storage box.

High quality, well worth the (marginally higher) price! Light dispersion is beautiful. Size and weight are as described. Durability is TBD but seems solid for what it is.

This is a small prism and can easily get lost. But when the sun hits it just right it does throw some interesting colors. Not sure how a physics teacher would deal with that since it is so small, and a drop would definitely damage it. I consider it more of a fun prism to play with.

Of all my prisms, this one is my favorite. Beautiful - so sparkly and so many ranges of colors.

I like to play with it. It's so pretty and the colors as it rolls and refracts is amazing. I'll definitely but it again if I lose or break it.
