Great capers!
I love these capers. They can be stored in the cupboard and only take about 15 minutes to remove the salt by soaking in water. They are large and very flavorful.

Excellent quality, size, taste, texture
These are just like the ones we used to get at our favorite Italian market, but for whatever reason they stopped selling them after many years. Salt-packed - at least to me - tastes much better than the ones in brine and hold just as long. Of course, you'll need to soak them to remove some of the salt, but it only takes a few minutes while you're working on the rest of your meal. Great value as well compared to what we have paid in the past. 5 Stars - I recommend!

These are hard to find
I live in Connecticut, and these are hard to find here. Strange, right? Well, they are. Consequently, I order them from Amazon. These are exactly as I expect them to be. You'll need to rinse and soak them to get rid of the salt. Then, they will taste in a manner that you'll never expect unless you have had salt-cured capers in the past. Just make sure to rinse them well. You'll love the way they add flavor to any dish.

Giant mess on arrival
The capers packed in salt arrived completely dumped out in the box making a giant unusable mess. A simple piece of tape to secure the lid would have prevented this disaster. I would not recommend purchasing this item at all. Waste of money!!!

They're salted! And ok for the price.
Main point is: In my opinion, salted capers taste much better than marinated. Also, there are not a lot of decently priced choices. These ones are not top quality, but ok. Maybe a bit on the rough side (a little low on fragrant flavours, a little high in bitterness). For the price though, I am very pleased.

Beware! - plastic tub is of low quality
It's sad that I could not give this all five stars as they are very tasty capers when soaked in water and vinegar to bring the salinity down to the edible state-- Top of the line product! My irritation with this item is that the plastic tub that they come in is as light and brittle as they could get away with using. I know that times are hard these days, but at least try to protect your valuable product. I'm willing to pay a few cents more for better packaging. When I received my order the plastic tub was smashed in shipping. It was the only thing in the box so I carefully poured the box contents into a cleaned out Jif peanut butter jar and salvaged my precious payload. It's interesting that peanut butter comes in MUCH better jars!

Much Different then in Brine
I normally use Capers in a brine mixture. I had heard of the salt packed Capers, but had not used them in a dish. I find these much better then the Capers in brine. The flavor is much more floral and the size of the Capers is impressive. I had read about soaking them in water to reduce the saltiness, but had others complain that it was still too salty for them. I found that soaking them in water for about 5 minutes and then draining the water and repeating this process a couple time really reduced the salt in the Capers. I will purchase more once these are gone.

Glad to have found this product
I was so glad to find the salted capers from Italy. They shipped very quickly and arrived completely intact. These are the really nice sized capers like they use in the Italian restaurant on the North End in Boston. Good price and you get alot.
