Sweaty runners - your search is over!
I've had a 5 year search for the perfect running headphones that don't break the bank and I've finally found them!I have previously tried the over ear styles and found them really heavy and uncomfortable, other in ear headphones jolt when running and slowly edge out of the ear leaving me fumbling around shoving them back in every 5 mins. I even splashed out last year and spent £80 on some Sennheiser's as I was told they were good for sports but, whilst they stayed put a little longer, they still popped out when the sweat started to flow so since I lost them last year I resumed my search for the perfect pair. When I got these pioneer's at the beginning of the week I almost sent them back because I realized, for the price, it might be nice to have a pair with a remote - I'm glad I didn't. I've done 2 long runs with them and they are perfect! They are very lightweight, they clip perfectly round my medium sized ears so that I can barely feel them, the coiled cord that fixes around the back of the neck means there is no pull at all when running or turning my head and even in full sweat the buds stay inside my ear. The sound quality is good, they're good for blocking out traffic noise (good for pavement/ off road running, be careful if you're running down country lanes!), by far the best quality and value for money I have ever come across.

Yessssss! At last!!
A pair of headphones that will stay in my ears throughout a long, sweaty workout or run. Perfect.I've only had these for a few days so far but I've done two pretty full on HIIT sessions and a 16km road run. I've never owned a pair of headphones that would stay securely in place throughout either of these activities. Some appear to fit well but with repeated movement and the introduction of sweat (I try hard and sweat a lot), would soon fall out causing a really annoying distraction and repeated stops to either re-fit or just remove completely. These have not moved at all. For me, the secret is in the articulated ear buds. These can move throughout a wide range relative to the over-ear loops and mean that I can get a secure fit of the bud into my ear canal while still having the ear loop in place for added security. Maybe I have unusual ears but more often than not with regular in-ear style headphone the body of the ear phone prevents me from putting the bud securely into my ear (I did manage to get a good fit with Samsung's standard smart phone in-ears if I put them in upside down but I put them through the wash by accident). These pioneer headphones solve that problem really well. Also the coiled cable is a great idea. I can tuck the free length of cable inside my running jacked so that it doesn't flap around and still have plenty of flexible movement with spring like coils in the flex at the end.Sound quality is great, I'm no "sound snob" but my music sounds fine with a depth of sound through the range. You're never going to get perfect, studio quality sound while you're out running in the wind and rain with traffic swishing by, your pulse thumping in your head, your feet slapping the pavement and your joints creaking under the pressure. If you find yourself worrying about the quality of the sound, you're not trying hard enough.I tried two pairs of skull candy sports blue-tooth headphones. Not only did they not fit particularly well, I had to return both sets as faulty. I'm much more optimistic about these.

Good for Running
I have tried many 'in-ear' type earphones over the years and one of my biggest frustrations has always been with them not staying in place. These combine an over and inner ear design that really does keep them secure in your ear. I did find them a little fiddly to position in the ear at first, but after a few goes, I acquired the knack, so stick with it when you first get them out of the box. They are well made and I have found them very comfortable to wear, even on long runs. They have a crisp clear sound, although the lower frequencies are sometimes a little lacking, so if you are a real bass freak, these may not be for you. Taking the price into consideration, I'd say you get a very decent sound for your money. You do get a range of earbud sizes which will not only assist with correct fit, but also influence the sound reproduced in the ear, so play about until you get the right set up. . There is no inline remote which as a runner is a small frustration, but hardly an insurmountable one with a bit of practice. If you want a well made, comfortable, reliable pair of earphones without breaking the bank, I'd recommend these.

Not everything I wanted
I've always used my Apple EarPods as everyday headphones and was happy with the quality. However, using them for running was a problem as they would fall out. I therefore seeked some sports headphones that stayed in, but offered equal sound quality. I wanted bassy and loud headphones to listen mainly to dance music whilst running. These earphones looked to fit the bill!I have used them for several 5k runs and my conclusions are1. They have never fallen out or even come close to falling out. Perfect in that respect.2. They are advertised as "bassy". In my opinion they are not. Far less bass than the EarPods.3. They are quiet. I use them with an iPod nano and with the sound on maximum, I still wanted more. Again comparing to my EarPods, about three quarter volume is the same as maximum volume on these earphones. In conclusion: These headphones will not fall out, but are a bit quiet and lack bass. This is particularly disappointing for listening to dance music/anything with a heavy beat. (or perhaps I have been spoilt with the Apple EarPods for these qualities)

Good but failed too soon
Sound great, fit well, don't fall out with running and gym use but after 8 months of use the right ear is dead, no sound. I treated them well and didn't bend the cable but they still went the way of most wired earphones.
