Product description This Surface Pro 10 keyboard is physically attached to Surface Pro 11/10/9/8/X via magnetic and the connection is though Bluetooth, it wouldn't charge via pins. This Surface Pro 8 keyboard needs to be charged separately, and it comes with a USB-C to Type C plug for charging. Switch Power switch ON to turn your keyboard on. The Power indicator will light up for 2-3 seconds. Press the “Fn+C” keys together to enter pairing mode. The Bluetooth indicator will flash blue. Turn on your Surface's Bluetooth function, then search for "Bluetooth Keyboard"and click to connect. This Surface Pro 9 keyboard supports multi-touch gestures and palm rejection. You could press "Fn + Alt " to unlock the trackpad when your mousepad stoped working on the keyboard. Review: Qulose Surface Keyboard for MS Surface Pro 9 - For the $50 +/- price is an overall worth the price keyboard. Unpacking and installing for the first time was easy. The layout of the keyboard overall is very comfortable, although the need to continually pair the keyboard to the surface is a hassle. The bluetooth connectivity is lost every time the surface is close or put to sleep. The keyboard will not respond after the surface is opened even with the keyboard attached. I found myself having to delete the keyboard from the bluetooth list and adding it back again, all this needs to be happen while using the touch screen, kind of a pain. Overall keystrokes work great, the mouse pad is not as sensible as other pads I've used but it gets the job done.
Review: Good type cover, good for Student - Pros: I like the feel of the Keyboard and the easy Bluetooth connectivity to my Surface Pro 9 -- in fact, the keyboard will easily Bluetooth connect to any Bluetooth-enabled smart device (e.g. phone or other tablet). Also, it's a simply, low-end Surface Pro type cover gift for your High School or College student. Cons: The only 2 things I didn't like are the low magnetic connection 'snap' to the bottom of my Surface (doesn't snap and connect smoothly like the Microsoft Surface brand type cover) and that it the magnetic connection is kind of weak across surface of the bottom edge of my Surface Pro 9. The other Con is that, even though the type cover has a pocket groove for a smart pen, the groove isn't deep enough to enable the type cover to smoothly snap-up to the Surface's edge smoothly with other generic smart pens. I suppose the Microsoft Surface brand smart pen is flat-enough to fit smoothly within the groove, but not the generic pen I bought.

For the $50 +/- price is an overall worth the price keyboard. Unpacking and installing for the first time was easy. The layout of the keyboard overall is very comfortable, although the need to continually pair the keyboard to the surface is a hassle. The bluetooth connectivity is lost every time the surface is close or put to sleep. The keyboard will not respond after the surface is opened even with the keyboard attached. I found myself having to delete the keyboard from the bluetooth list and adding it back again, all this needs to be happen while using the touch screen, kind of a pain. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Just OK - I should have bought the OEM keyboard

The keyboard works enough to get the job done but it is very laggy when it goes to sleep. The mouse is also laggy at times which can be frustrating. Also, any keyboard case meant for the OEM version does not work with this one because the charging port is on the side of the keyboard. When this dies I will just be sucking it up and buying the OEM keyboard.
