Julia Donaldson's books are brilliant for new readers. I purchased the books of all the Levels for my daughter and it helped her significantly in progressing in her reading. I highly recommend Julia Donaldson's books.

No complaints with these stories. I trust them as they match the school curriculum. The quality of the stories, the illustrations are all on point as they keep my son engaged. Will be using this for his sister in a year and a half when she reaches this reading level in school.

we bought these for my daughter who is a little behind on her reading to compliment the "biff chip and kipper" scheme from school, its nice to read something not biff, chip and kipper related! she enjoys them too.

Fabulous, clever stories that are fun to read as well as suitable for a child just learning. Slightly easier than the Biff & Chipper series which makes it a perfect supplement to what they might be given at school, and a good confidence-booster. This stage is for children who can already blend 3 or 4 letters together, eg h-o-p / a-n-d / s-e-t-s. It introduces 'sh' / 'th' and two syllable words.

I bought the whole series from level 1 to level 6. Good fun books to help our 4 year old read (level 1). They follow the national curriculum so you can give your child extra help with their reading without compromising what they are already learning. Great stories as you'd expect from Julia Donaldson.

Excellent value - a bargain! Book in good condition. Perfect for my reception age daughter learning to read.

Provided good stories for my 5 year old grandson to practice his reading

Bought this for my three year old who is in pre-school and he loves it. He can't wait to read the next level 2 book and he enjoys doing the activity books in the series.
