This is a beautiful set and the knives are extremely sharp. After buying cheaper knives for years, I finally invested in a good quality set. The color of the block is rich and I really like it. My only "issue" is that the base is about 15 inches long from the front end to where the the slots are for the knives to go in plus the distance to the end of the knife handles. (About 19 inches altogether) I don't put them in the dishwasher because a sales rep from Henckels told me to never put sharp knives in the dishwasher. My old knives wound up with rust spots on them. I would recommend this set.

Bought this knife set to replace old, dull knives that were 30+ yrs old. A modge-podge of different brands. I cannot say enough about this set! Beautifully crafted, economical, and they slice like butter! Self sharpening block is a luxury as I cannot say how many knives I have ruined by self sharpening. It adds beauty and a high class look to my kitchen. I just upgraded my appliances and they match beautifully. So excited to have a high quality brand.

I had been putting of purchasing a new knife set for a few years and finally broke down and decided to finally invest in a quality set. This item was everything and more. Good grip even when the knife handle was wet, lightweight, super sharp and beautiful on my counter top. My only regret is that I didn't buy them sooner!

These appear to be a very decent set of knives. I am no connoisseur of kitchen knives. These come sharp, and have held a good edge so far.

Garbage. Unbelievably poor quality. We’ve owned Henckels for decades. I have four boys, so the ones we had have been heavily abused being used for all kinds of things they shouldn’t. I finally figured we ought to replace them as they were pretty beat up. We ordered this mid-range set. We took them out to wash them first. My husband noticed they were half the width of our original set. When I went to cut a quiche with one, the blade flexed left and right. If this is how they cut something soft, how could they stand up to anything of real substance. So back they went. Henckels has really gone downhill. They used to be high quality, but this set was so thin as to be useless. I don’t understand all these positive reviews unless all these people never had Henckels before to know how much these suck in comparison.

I bought this as a gift for my clients when they closed on their townhome. I haven’t heard any complaints and their parents want the same closing gift as I am now going to be selling their home and helping them find another one.

I’ve heard how good these knifes are but wow once you finally have them it’s a whole another world. I would HIGHLY recommend them. It is on the more expensive side but it’s a value that’s 100% worth every penny.
