Why did they switch production to China as the guarantee is now only 5 years and the cost went up ?

Don't know why the changed but the bag is still excellent quality and well worth the money I have lots of veto products they are expensive but well worth the money and they last well and take all the punishment you can give them in s working environment

why is there two different images for the front pouches what one would we be getting whe purchased

The two different images are actually one front pouch and one back pouch, take a closer look and you will see the shoulder straps on one image but not the other. This bag has two main storage areas.

Does this have an allocated space for a 15" laptop?

Technically, no; although if you want to sacrifice space allocated for tools a 15" laptop will fit. The more suitable ruck sack which has allocated space for a laptop is the Tech-PAC LT
