Packed full of sweets and treats!
I got this for my teenage son who I was struggling to find Christmas presents for. He likes Japanese sweeg treats and so this seemed worth a gamble. It’s a small box but it was jammed packed full! Some he didn’t like but that is kinda the fun (well fun gif me watching his face). He used google translate to work out what some of the things were - so we can even say this is an educational gift!

Great selection of sweet & savoury
Fantastic variety of both sweet & savoury snacks and handy guide so you know whats included. Everything is packaged in a clear bag as others have said so you may want to repackage if gifting. My pack contained a mixture of 30 items, only 1 duplicated item. Really enjoying the selection, will be ordering more!

Fun box
Smaller than I expected, but it was only 30 items. Very well packaged, love the design on the box. I can't seem to get the animation to work though. Good variety of snacks, rather sad there was no umaibo sticks though, I did however get a wafer chocolate fish 😁 Very tasty items, especially the biscuits!

The SHOGUN CANDY Box is a fun way to try Japanese snacks! With 30 assorted pieces, there’s a mix of sweet, savory, and chewy treats—perfect for sharing, gifting, or just snacking at home. Everything arrived fresh and well-packaged. Some flavors are quirky, but that’s part of the fun! Great quality, lots of variety, and very enjoyable. Pros: Large variety, fun flavors, fresh packaging. Cons: A few flavors might not be for everyone.

From the picture, what I got was pretty darn close to what is shown. The contents are not exact, but they were close enough. I recognized some of the stuff before I bought it because I used to raid the kid's section at our local Asian market (it closed :*( ). Every item is an individually wrapped single serving ("penny candy") of various wafers, crackers, cookies, jellies, fruit candies, gummies, chocolate-covered doodads, lollipops, small pieces of gum & gumballs, and a couple unidentifiable things. What I liked about this box was it really was a nice assortment. Some things were sweet, some salty, and some both. There were no cakes or hard candy (other than 2 lollipops). The chocolate stuff was excellent. Even the cheap stuff in Japan still has a real quality taste, unlike in the US where a lot of cheap chocolate candies or wafers are made with waxy, barely chocolate-tasting gunk. There were a few puffed corn tubes (think one giant cheeto) with powdered cheese on them, not sure what they're called but I have always liked them. There was one thing though, it was like a sweet cookie with strong powdered cheese on it, and it kind of took me by surprise. It was very weird but I loved it. There was a cool "jelly stick" that was grape, kind of like a gummy floating in grape juice. I got a kick out of that one. There was a box of cereal flakes with a very happy cartoon corn cob on the package, covered in delicious chocolate. I'm trying to go from memory because almost everything is gone. There was a coke-flavored gummy that was awesome. Lots of air-puffed wafers, some with sweet and some savory. There were little fish on a bag of puffs, I know they're "fish flavored" but the fish & shrimp stuff is not a strong flavor & they're basically like puffed chips. There was a soda-flavored lollipop you could dip in powder, a hard wafer candy like a sweet-tart, a few small single pieces of gum & gumballs, and a bit of green apple taffy. I made a day of it and ate the leftovers the next day. The fun part was so many different flavors. There were 2 things I didn't like. One looked like a deflated fruit about the size of an olive, the other looked like the same fruit but whole. It smelled okay and I gave it a try, but holy crap it was SALTY. Like, mega-salty. It also had a preserved tang I didn't like it at all. I now believe them to be tiny preserved, salted plums called "kishu umeboshi." Bleagh! Not my thing, but still fun to learn about. For 12 bucks it was a lot of fun. The package came very quickly (only a few days!) and all the stuff was fresh and well within the dates on the package. They were protected well but unfortunately a lot of the crackers and cookies were all broken up. I imagine this happened before they were shipped, not a big deal but just making note of it. I liked 98% of what was in there, and it seemed like there was an effort to make sure it was an interesting assortment. I would definitely buy this one again.

I bought this because our daughter has reached the tween age. Thus my wife and I had run out of ideas on what to fill our kid's Easter basket this year. On YouTube our family have been watching channels of people trying candies and snacks from around the world. So I found this candy/snack assortment. I figured that it would make for a fun and interesting time, having her try what was sent to us. It did not disappoint, she was excited to give these items a try. There were more snacks than candies but she ate most of them. There was one that we knew had to be some kind of fish or squid jerky. It was soy sauce flavored, but we all had to try it. None of us liked it, and I brought what was left of it to our family Easter gathering to see who else would be brave enough to try. 2 of my nephews spit it right out and a young cousin liked it. My father in law and brother in law gave it a try. My brother in law liked it and ate the rest of it. There are a lot of corn puff flavored snacks. There was a curry, a pizza, and we believe a butter caramel flavored one. The big hit for her was a pack of their version of Pop Rocks. It was Grape Ramune flavored. Overall it was a great way to put a different spin on an Easter basket and we all got a kick at everyone's reaction to tasting different things. I would give it 5 stars if they had a few more sweet candies. Hopefully they can do that. Also maybe include a DIY candy kit in the assortment.

I recently purchased this candy Box, and it has been a delightful treat! If you're a fan of Japanese snacks or just want to try something different, this assortment is a perfect choice. The box contains a fun and diverse mix of sweet, salty, and savory treats, representing a variety of popular Japanese candies and snacks. One of the highlights for me was the wide range of textures and flavors. From crunchy snacks like shrimp chips and sweet potato crisps to chewy candies and tangy gummies, there's something for everyone. I especially loved the Pocky sticks, and the tiny fruit-flavored gummies! The packaging is also a nice touch—everything comes individually wrapped, which keeps it fresh and convenient for sharing. It’s a great option for those looking to experience authentic Japanese flavors without having to purchase multiple individual items. While some of the flavors may be unfamiliar to people who haven't tried Japanese snacks before, it’s part of the fun! A few items had unusual tastes, but that’s what makes this variety pack so exciting. The portion sizes are perfect for sampling, and the value for the price is fantastic. Overall, I highly recommend the SHOGUN CANDY Box for anyone interested in trying Japanese candy and snacks. It’s a fun, affordable way to enjoy a wide variety of flavors from Japan!

Expected it to be bigger and it was not. Cool products but not worth the price.
