Gone Surfing Pale Ale

I bought this for my husband, and it was such a fun activity!We have never brewed beer before, but we are both into our craft beers :) It was fun to learn about brewing along the way - instructions are easy to follow and informative.The equipment is great quality and we will definitely use again.

Very quick delivery. Loved the way it was packaged. Would definitely be a great gift for a home brewer. Easy to brew using the clear instructions. Looking forward to opening the bottles in a few weeks.

Kit was well put together, great packaging, ingredients, equipment, and most of all the instructions are really good. After I ordered the kit I watched loads of YouTube videos to learn the brew in a bag process, but genuinely you could just fill the instructions and you’ll be good.I brewed on a gass hob in my kitchen, I was a bit worried it would stink the place out since I don’t have an externally vented extractor, but a small 5l batch size is no problem. I wouldn’t be sure about bigger 20l kits in the kitchen.One gotcha, you need a big pot to brew in, and it should over 10 letters for this 5l brew, this is to allow for evaporation as you will start with 7.5l of water, then your adding a big bag of grain & you need head room to stop it from boiling over. Don’t try it in a pan less than 10l.I did the brew 2 days ago, time a few hours for fermentation to kick off, but it’s now bubbling away. So will have to wait a few weeks now and see how the finished product turns out.I dropped one star unfortunately for one item in the kit I was not happy with. The thermometer is not great, the file is smalls than I expected so hard to get a precise reading, also the length of the thermometer is too small, attached to the side of my pot it’s only reading the top of the pot which is probably hotter than the rest of the pot. Heat rises that’s physics, I will be buying another thermometer for my next batch.

The batch turned out great. The instructions were easy to follow and I was really impressed by how good the beer tasted.

Got this for my dad at Christmas. He loved it and the kit comes with everything to get started. Really high quality!!

I bought this bottle topped kit for my brother's birthday and he only had great things to say about it.He loved how simple it was to brew his beer at home and said the flavour was great!With more ingredient kits to buy, this will keep him happy for the next few years to come!

I've never done any home brewing, but figured it would be fun to try! The kit was very easy to use (got the Gone Surfing Pale ale), and honestly just really fun if you're a beer nerd! Already excited to try some of the other kits :)
