Mikki Dog, Puppy Hygiene Protective Dog Boot - Helps Keep Injured Paws Dry and Clean - Size 3

Reading the reviews I realised not to use alone. My dog has an injured paw and cannot get the bandage wet. I ordered a much bigger size and also added a carrier bag around the bandage. It keeps the bag on her paw and allows her to use the garden and not get her bandage wet.Cheap for what we wanted and definitely does the job when accompanied with a bag (to be on the safe side). Although it has worked every time we have put it on her and kept dry.

Nothing good about this product. I wanted something to protect my dogs foot after surgery.1) It fits like a golf driver and literally gave my dog a club foot, which was a trip hazard for him2) The bottom off the foot has lots of little plastic bobbles which are quite slippery on hard floors so was absolutely no help to my poor dog when trying to stand up3) It’s not weatherproof or waterproof in any way despite it being advertised as such. First visit outside in the garden to do his business, and he comes in with a damp foot.4)I’ve had this boot less than 24 hours, the bottom has already worn through exposing the padding beneath the ‘protective’ layer. Which unfortunately is like a sponge and absorbs water, so has soaked all his surgical dressingsIf I’d overused or abused the product then I wouldn’t have written such a poor review, but I have an elderly dog who has had this boot on half a dozen times to go in the garden. He doesn’t wear it in the house as I think it is down right dangerous for him being a trip hazard and slippery. Certainly not fit for the purposes as stated in the product infoNeede an urgent appointment with the gets to have wet dressings changed and avoid infection, just for the added expense and inconvenience.

If you are only wanting these for walking, please be aware that they are not water resistant, and very difficult to dry out, I would recommend looking around first before settling on these.

Our canine companion, Coco the chocolate labrador, cut her pad about 10 days ago when she was playing on her favourite beach. After a week of rest and bandages, her foot is healing is nicely, but Coco is getting very bored! We bought this boot in a local pet store last night, hoping that it would give her some padding and comfort so that she can walk a little distance.The boot fits perfectly over her bandaged front paw, and fits securely with the two velcro tabs. Because the boot has a nice rounded pad on the bottom it also adds some cushioning to the lacerated area of Coco’s foot. Coco is used to occasionally wearing a rubber balloon type boot, so whilst would prefer not to have a shoe on one foot, she is okay about it, and hasn’t tried to remove the boot by licking or gnawing.We had a small walk this morning, which was the first in 10 days. The boot stayed secure the whole time, and Coco seemed comfortable, happy and waggy, concentrating on sniffing her favourite news spots.The only problem we have encountered with the boot, is that it is too large to stay on Coco’s foot without a bandage, for instance, when she is just wearing a protective sock. However, she is a slender labrador and we purchased a size 3 boot, possibly she just needs a size down when not wearing a bandage.

Used these on our large dog, fairly easy to put on, there’s a knack. Point toe down, then when still pointing downwards, pull up on back to get toes to front. Quite tough, not split after a week’s wear.Biggest downside for us was they are not watertight at all. Water gets in over the top, through the seams and closure. Wanted these for post surgery, worked great in dry weather to keep bandaged foot clean, but soon the ground is slightly damp, the whole dressing has to come off after a lead walk as completely soaked. Shame, as look good and well made and if you only want some protection, they are good value.

I have a medium size cockerpoo. The boot fit well but is not intended to go outside, only for indoor. It might say this under the description, but unfortunately I never read it. When I took her out the boot leaked and also did not last one complete walk before it was shredded. And that was walking the dog on the lead..

The opening doesn’t open wide enough for the dogs paw to sit properly in the boot.We’ve a Jack Russell with a wound on top of its paw. We wanted to wrap it with a loose bandage and then use this boot to help prevent him from removing bandage. The bandaged paw should fit easily in the boot top, but like a floppy sock you couldn’t get the paw all the way down into the boot bottom. It had this weird angle to it like the manufacturer didn't know what a dog’s paw looked like. I tried cutting a longer opening so we could position the paw further down so it touched the bottom, but it just looked like a floppy sock on his paw. The velcro’s straps have small sections of velcro, so you can only loop them round till they meet or not have them fastened at all. Longer sections would have given you more leeway on where the two sides join.I’ve cut the boot now so won’t ask for a refund. Might have been better just making my own version out of a baby/child’s sock.

Bei den großen Größen wird damit geworben dass sie auch großen Hunderassen passen sollten.Fallen sehr klein aus, schwer anzulegen.Mal sehen wie der Schuh nach dem ersten Gassi aussieht.
