Works as needed
Works perfectly. Wasn’t sure how it’d function, but super easy & charges as a normal charger would.

Does NOT work
Bought this to try to consolidate all my cords. Unfortunately this adapter does not work at all. Tried with my new charger and also a new Mac usb -c charger and this adapter is the problem. Horrible and doesn't work at all. Literally every second it would alert that it was charging and then not charging, over and over again.... all while my computer was dying.Save your money and buy a different product.. one that actually works.

Great product!
Very convenient and great for troubleshooting Apple mac laptops. Cuts down on the number of chargers that I must carry.

Useful but…
I like this because I can charge my MacBook Pro with my USB C charger, however it gets hot even when not in use when attached to the USB-C cable plugged in. So I plug this in when I use it and completely disconnect when not in use and keep in a safe place so I don’t misplace it.

Brilliant invention. Why didn't this exist years ago?
My cat likes to chew cables, particularly expensive Apple cables. He has destroyed countless magsafe adapters over the last several years and I've just resorted to re-buying the whole charger as the older magsafe chargers do not have cables that disconnect from the brick. This little $10 gadget is a GAME CHANGER. Now I can charge my old MacBook Pro using the USB C charger that I use to charge my new MacBook Pro, and as a massive upside, there's no way my cat can destroy the whole charger now.

Doesn’t work
Only worked 3 times that I’ve used it but stopped working. Wouldn’t recommend.

Perfect!
It is great quality and is exactly what I wanted. Lots cheaper then buying an old style charger. Just buy this adapter and use it with your usb-c

It works, but magnet not as strong.
It works well, but it does not stay plugged in if you move the laptop around because the magnet is not as strong as the MagSafe plug.

Works as well as stock adapter
Been using this for a few months now and it works perfectly, charges my MacBook, and now I don't have to carry around multiple types of cables.

USB C to Magsafe 2 does an ok job
The media could not be loaded. I got this adapter because I got a new USB-C 68W charge cube and wanted to see if the USB C cable to USB C with Magsafe 2 would charge my 2013 11" Macbook Air. The macbook air apple charger is a reported 40W and my Macbook Pro 2013 (not compatible with this adapter) has a 60W charger. I use a magsafe 1 to 2 adapter on that. I mention this because when I do a system report, power, I see that my Macbook Air reports correctly 40W using the original apple charger, and my Macbook Pro is reported correctly at 60W. This new cube is rated at 68W max, but the adapter is reporting to my Macbook Air, 85W which not possible. Not sure why. However, using a battery app, I did get ratings that were ranging 7W to 40W. Not sure if the adapter is the issue, or the cube. Regardless, it charged up no problem. Here are my observations.I noticed it does snap click nicely with the same vigor as the original. If you try and pull the adapter out straight, it is locked on solidly. However, as my video shows, it is not that strong for up and down. When I used the laptop 'on the lap' it would tilt and lose the connection very easily. Any force on the connection up or down and it pops off. Works great on a flat surface with nothing touching the top of bottom of the adapter or it 'sheers' off easily. This in an issue if you use it on uneven surfaces (in bed, on the lap, on the couch etc). As you can see in the picture, the light for charge is a bit dull in my opinion compared to an apple original . I bought an Amazon Macbook equivalent charger, and it too has a dull orange glow while a nice bright Green one when charged appears. So, that's not unique to this connector. So far, it seems reliable. It did flicker to green then orange a few times while charging when I was using it, but that may have been due to the surface slightly adding up or down force to the connection which breaks the magnet stick action. Very strong straight out, and straight in. Left and right, strong. Up and down, not so good. Finally, I noticed that the adapter itself got warm. I left the cable plugged in and not attached to the Mac and it was warm just left alone plugged in. That suggests it is consuming energy from the cube when not connected to the Macbook. I think it is important to mention that you need to make sure your charge cube or charger is rated as specified in the description: "You must use a 20V/3A 60W or above Type-C charger, otherwise the adapter will not work". Mine is 68W so it worked. This connected properly to my 2013 11" Macbook Air. Pay attention to the specs Type 2 Magsafe T style, NOT L. And ensure you have a properly rated USB C cable (mine ordered on Amazon said rated for 100W). Finally, the feel of this is solid, and feels like a good quality build. Hopefully it lasts. It seems a bit pricey but if you have a newer charger with USBC cables, higher wattage, this extends your capabilities for your Macbook Charging when traveling.
