The vibram sole is very well made with good grip for rocky terrain. I haven’t noticed any slipping on rocks. Good ankle support and they are sized true to my normal shoe size. I wanted some boots that look tough but also are attractive and get the job done. These did all of that! The traction was incredible. They have good support, but they're not too stiff. The materials seem to be made well and stitched tightly. Their water resistant and will repel most water to an extent. This does not mean to stand in a lake. When I step in large puddles or water, that is an inch or too deep, it will protect me. The material is rugged and durable and they're super warm but not too hot in the summer. The boots seem to be pretty thick with ample padding, and they're so comfortable. They don't feel like they need to be broken in. I'm very pleased with these, and I'm going to start working in them right away. My other pair of boots from this company lasted me 5 years and I'm still using them. I just wanted an upgrade. The price is incredible... for a well made boot. So many colors and patterns to choose from, but I particularly thought this one was feminine, but yet tough. I am highly recommending this boot and I'm pretty picky about my boots. I ordered a 9 and a 1/2 because that is my normal shoe size and it fit like a glove.
