PlayMonster Games Race Around Europe Board Game, Multicolor

An accessible family weight game designed by Alan Moon of Ticket to Ride fame. This is also published as 10 Days in Europe & there is version based in the USA as well. This is an older game from 2002.The game is map based & has cards, which are really tiles. They are thick card. It's about hand management & your ability to read the map. It certainly forces you to get up to speed on European geography. You have to arrange (re-arrange) your ten tiles in order to travel by foot, sea or air in a geographically coherent way. I say re-arrange, but you cannot actually re-arrange your tiles once you have placed them, you have to draw & replace tiles to make your trip.We play it at 2 player & find it entertaining, very light weight. The production is good quality. The map board is colourful & we find easy to read. Great for educational play for kids.

Bought for an Xmas present and now become a family favourite! Easy once you get your head around the rules, doesn’t take forever to play and kids learn a bit of geography along the way!

Board and cards are well made however game is very simple and not very challenging. No flags, currencies or interesting facts to make this game more interesting.

Fantastic game, it's one of our favorites now, it just takes a while to get your head around the rules and how it works. My son's 11 and 9 love it. I wish there was a video that showed how to play it because it took a bit too long to figure it out with the instructions. But it was Christmas day so maybe it was just me.
