Mighty Bright MXL2SL Xtraflex Light - Silver

Cheaper options were available, but I needed something a bit robust. I use mine with blue-tac on the base to attach it to a window of a rattly bus, so I can read my notes at traffic lights etc. It's lightweight enough to stay on, and the illumination is just about perfect. As is the battery life. I'm using 3x AAA rechargeables (Eneloop) and I just recharge the batteries on my days off, rather than waiting for the light to get dim, so I cannot tell you how long the batteries last exactly, but I can say you get at least 10 hours of operation because that's the most I've used it for, without recharging.The flexible light 'cord' is perfect. When you bend it to the required position it DOES stay there. They've got that perfect. The base could be a little stronger. I have to push it quite hard on to the glass to be confident it'll stay there, and this puts a lot of pressure on the battery compartment and back of the unit which is a bit flimsy. Obviously I'm using it in a way that probably wasn't intended, but it could've been a bit stronger anyway. The clip (which I rarely use) is quite sturdy but there can be a little movement when attaching it to a clipboard etc; it could've done with being just a tad stronger as well, but it's not a serious problem for me.

I chose this light as I had previously purchased cheaper options from elsewhere and as the saying goes buy cheap buy twice. That does not apply to this item. This is a sturdy little piece that gives you just the right amount of light not too bright and not too dull. It fits perfectly well to my kindle without obscuring any of the writing and the flexible lead allows you to position it perfect. Would recommend this to anyone that is looking for a sturdy piece of kit. And the price was very reasonable it's not expensive but this item is not cheap an nasty like many of the others that are currently out there.This light also doubles up as a night light when I have my granddaughter it simply attaches to the end of the cot and you can position it so the light shines either directly on the child or at an angle for subtle light an it doesn't disturb Anyone else's sleep at the same time. So go on folks what you waiting for its a must have.

This Lamp was not what I was expecting. From the size of the image in the description I expected it to be much bigger than it was, therefore I had to return it for a refund which was done without any delays. It seemed a very well made Lamp, only it was too small for it's intended purpose. I was delivered on time and was securely packaged.

I wanted an LED light that was bright, light in weight and essentially able to be clipped onto the edge of my hand quilting hoop/ embroidery stand. This little light is just the thing. I can work close up without having to flood the room with light from mains lamps, making it a cost effective light source, right where you need it, in my case where the needle is working. Its great during the day when there is less light on a gloomy day. I also use it clipped to my headboard so I can read in bed while my husband sleeps, as he is in darkness as the light is just on my page.I am using rechargeable batteries so it's unlikely I'll need the adapter but I wanted this option just in case. I also like the choice of brightness by swapping from using one LED or two. All round worth the relatively small outlay.

This is a great little light, very easy to set up and use (well you literally take it out the box, put the batteries in, switch it on and enjoy a good read). The only reason I have not given 5 stars is that I thought the light may have been a bit stronger, but it is good enough to read in the dark without any strain on the eyes nonetheless.A very good product that I feel will keep me awake for much longer - but that may not be a bad thing.

This has worked nicely. The battery lasts for a very long time. Only been changed once in a few years. It's not like it's used every night but it's still impressive to me.The only bad point is my light now flickers when touched. I think there is a loose connection in the stalk somewhere. Like I said though, it's at least 3 or 4 years old and has been attached to the bed head 99% of the time

Got so fed up of replacing the batteries on night lights and when I didn't have them, having to read by very poor light I ordered this. It is a very bright hight light and pleased to say after months it is still glowing just as brightly whereas I would have had to replace the batteries several times already with the cheaper ones. Gives a very powerful light for such a little bulb. The flexi-cable is a good size and very adjustable. Would recommend.

My kids love these - had an original mighty bright light that lasted for years before the cable was pulled out.I notice two differences with these ones.The on/off button can take a bit of fiddling - its a slide rather than up/down like the older one.Secondly no DC connector - (I never used it on the original one anyway) - however some people may do ?
