It only has stories relating to Conan, excludes any that involve non Conan characters.

Great book, definitely buy. Don't buy from Amazon Prime. It's 50\50 it'll arrive damaged.
Excellent story and art. Book arrived in a too large box that had mostly collapsed, a single piece of brown paper meant to but failing to protect the book. 3 out of the 6 books were visibly damaged. Amazon Prime's packaging and shipping practices are abysmal to the degree that I regret all the businesses I participated in shutting down. I'd gladly pay extra to a business that cared to provide mw with undamaged goods.

Amazing art work!
When I first looked at this book, the price and Black and White put me off. But now that I have it in my hands, I can say that those scanned pictures that they have on here don't do this book justice. I watched youtube reviews to get a better idea of the art and stories in the book and now I love it. The art work is outstanding!! I'm thinking about buying 2 copies, one to read and one to keep in the wrap.

The Savage Sword is finally back in print!
This is the one Conan omnibus I missed out on back when it first came out by Marvel a few years ago and it quickly became too expensive to buy on eBay. Then not long ago came Heroic Signatures with Titan Comics to get this reprinted (and eventually will get all the other Marvel Conan omnibuses reprinted as well). This version by Titan Comics has about 70 pages less than the Marvel omnibus because Titan doesn't have the rights to reprint some back-up stories featuring Ka-zar, Man-Thing, the Femizons and other stores that did not feature Conan. Another noticeable difference is the endsheets to this new edition, featuring a scene straight from one of the interior pages (see photo). It’s a nice touch that I wish the Marvel omnibuses had done rather than use just a solid color. I love how the Titan Comics spine matches up well when side by side with the Marvel editions. The only difference being that the spine now says “Heroic Signatures Titan Comics” instead of “Marvel Omnibus” but still fits up at the top, occupying the same space within the red square. This first volume adapts some of Robert E. Howard’s more memorable stories such as The Frost Giant’s Daughter, Red Nails, Black Colossus and many more. The artists in this omni include some of the best there ever were: Barry Windsor-Smith, John Buscema, Neal Adams and Gil Kane with some of the best inkers in the business like Alfredo Alcala and Pablo Marcos. A must have book for fans of Conan, Robert E. Howard and sword and sorcery!

Classic Conan
Classic Conan stories! Bought these when they came out. Love the nostalgic black and white stories.

Outstanding... but with a slight disappointment
Okay, while I think this is an amazing collection, I must admit to being a bit disappointed. I had purchased this primarily because I was led to understand that each magazine was reprinted in full... and as I used to own all of these magazines back in my foolish youth, I was really looking forward to that. However, it turns out that only the stories and articles related to Conan are included... so no Kazar, no stories featuring other subjects or characters than Conan, and that is a shame. However, I do highly recommend this volume as the art is second to none, I mean, Barry Windsor Smith, John Buscema, Alfredo Alcala, Alex Nino, Gil Kane, etc. are legends. So go get it already.

If you're anything like me, you unfortunately missed out on these massive Conan omnibuses back when Marvel Comics had the license and was releasing them. The early Marvel books (of both CtB and SSoC) have been out of print for a while and can be hard to come by and/or are expensive. I was waiting with baited breath for what feels like eons for these Titan Comics omnibuses to finally start coming out, and I'm happy to say they don't disappoint. The 70s tenure at Marvel was a creative high point for the Conan character outside of the original stories by Robert E. Howard, and that quality shines through here. What you're getting here is about 1000 pages of goodness, filled to the brim with wonderfully reproduced black-and-white comics, interesting articles, fanmail and lengthy behind-the-scenes notes by Roy Thomas himself. It's both a testament to the quality of Conan comics back then and an interesting slice of comics history, so you get the double benefit of getting some insight into the development of one of American comics' best characters on top of some ripping good yarns in their own right. Special mentions go to 'Night of the Dark God' and the adaptation of 'A Witch Shall Be Born'. The book itself is fantastically produced - it's just like one of those Marvel omnibuses. Indeed, the producers of this book seemed to have had the foresight to make their spines match with those original Marvel books (it even has a red logo), so that the books won't look too out of sync with each other if you've had to resort to mixing your collection between Marvel and Titan. Stuff like that is very much appreciated, although I don't own any of the Marvel omnibuses. The only real flaw with this omnibus is that a couple of the stories can also be found in the first CtB omnibus, albeit in full colour (and slightly censored). Furthermore, the adaptation of 'The Frost Giant's Daughter' is printed twice in this book for no real reason. I understand it was a reprint due to time constraints and fan demand, but the CtB colour omnibus removes what was meant to be a reprinting of the very first issue due to the original pages getting lost in the mail, and instead just includes that issue's letters page and pinup. These points are minor though, especially since the repeats in question are only 10-15 pages. And the first criticism doesn't really apply if you don't have any interest in the colour CtB omnibuses (and I would say both of these reproduced tales are far superior in their black-and-white iterations). The book isn't cheap, but you get what you pay for. If you're a massive fan of Conan and have the money to spare, then it's an easy reccomendation. This and the first colour CtB omnibus serve as good jumping-on points for those who have discovered the character via Titan's recent and very admirable relaunch, or for those who have only read the original stories/seen the movie/etc and want a taste of the Cimmerian in comics format.

Beautifully presented, great reproduction of black and white art, quality glossy paper, a massive tome that fans will appreciate as a comprehensive collection befitting the title Omnibus.
