Excellent but too expensive. Breville know that you'll pay what they ask for because it's the only way you can continue to use their machine. Not very customer friendly. You'd think Apple Inc is the parent company...

These bottles are sturdy and elegant. The material is durable and looks high quality. However, the lids of all Breville bottles seem to have two major problems: 1) In order to create a tight seal with zero leakage, the lids seem to sometimes magically seal themselves shut so strongly that it takes inhuman strength to undo. I never screw the lid on tightly, however somehow unscrewing seems to always be a challenge. 2) The flip top lid design is faulty, again presumably a way to ensure no leaks. The flip open takes too much effort and I have actually snapped one of my lids right off its hinge by accident.There are cheaper alternatives in the market that fit the Breville blender, so it is wise to look for those first before spending on these replacements.

After a couple of days of use for my protein shake, the hinge on the lid snapped off. The bottle did come and my partner did note that it looked a little brittle, but still, shocked that the durability of this product was... well.. hours. Superglue won't help.If you buy, do check the hinges on the lid before using, if they look brittle (the whole clasp) or the green seems discoloured send it back.EDIT: Replacement sent out and it works fine. Faulty batch. If it seems brittle, let them know immediately!

The Breville machine is fantastic. I bought this bottle as a spare. The bottle itself is well designed, a quality product, the hand grip makes it easy to hold, markings in ozs and millilitres is clear. This bottle is sturdy and has a great lid which does not leak. There is a rubber seal to ensure this. The spout is solid. Some have said it breaks easily. I have not had any bother whatsoever.The downside of this bottle is the cost. It is 50% of buying a totally brand new machine.Time will tell.

Hear me out... I love Breville as much as the next person, but this bottle is extremely overpriced for how poorly designed it is. The lid is a NIGHTMARE to get off if it's screwed on tightly or even if your hands are wet from washing the dishes. DO NOT screw this lid on tightly unless you have superhuman strength. My mother who bought this product is 55 and she has issues screwing this on and off of the bottle. I, however, can kind of screw it on and off with ease... If you are someone with weak hands, MS etc, then avoid this bottle at all costs... The second issue I've found is that the lid of the bottle gets mouldy, very quickly. I have only had this bottle for a few weeks and I can already see black and grey mould spots on the rubber ring inside of the lid... It literally horrified me when I saw it. I wash my bottle as soon as I've finished whatever's inside it (usually just water or blended fruits with juice) and I always let it dry on the rack. I have no idea why it would get mouldy? Who even designed this bottle so poorly to allow the rubber ring inside of the lid to get mould? I obviously am not going to be drinking out of a bottle that has mould around the lid, so this meant I had to no longer use this bottle as a drink bottle, which is such a shame since the bottle is so expensive. FORTUNATELY, I am still able to use the plastic bottle to blend drinks into, but I just can't use the bottle to drink out of anymore due to not being able to use the lid... AVOID this product at all costs, unless you have the money to rebuy it all of the time due to mould.

Very easy to clean, you can put some hot water & dish soap in the bottle and "blend" it up using the blender to give it a quick but good clean. Definitely durable as I'm making smoothies almost daily and going to and from work. I'd definitely recommend the breville active blend. Buyer delivered very prompt (Prime) and packaged well, all recyclable.

I bought this because one of the lids that came with my original blender cracked apart due to a pressure build up inside the bottle. I was happy with this product for a few weeks but in that short amount of time, the same thing happened again. I was cleaning the bottle out with warm water, shook it slightly, and instead of the top topping off (as you would hope might happen if there's too much pressure in the bottle), the entire lid split horizontally. It's now leaking slowly whenever I use it so is effectively written off. I see that I pushed the bottle's limit twice now and have learnt my lesson but still really disappointed at how fragile these things are.The water was not even that hot (was cool enough for me to wash up with). I really like the look and feel of the product. People should just watch out for how fragile they are when there's pressure in the bottle.
