An excellent product. Note: TomTom's "email" for support is through the chatbot
I bought this Satnav because I was visiting Australia. I have used the Satnav in Ireland and Australia. It is an excellent product. It is easy to use. The maps are accurate. It is easy to maintain the device up to date and to switch between the global-regions maps, i.e. easy to switch from W. Europe to Australia and visa versa. I found the route-planning software really useful. I bought the global maps software, however these expired a few weeks after I got it (so I had access to Western Europe maps only). It took me some time to figure out how to get in contact with TomTom support, to get the World Wide map capability restored. I could not find any TomTom telephone number to call or an email address and it seemed I was in an endless loop with the chatbot who could not help. I got access to TomTom support through the chatbot. I asked the chatbot for TomTom support email. The chatbot did not provide me with an email address but it provided me with a means of communicating with somebody in TomTom support. My "email" was done in the normal Chabot dialogue window. This process was confusing and frustrating. I sent an image of the box and briefly explained my problem. My account / satnav was fixed / updated immediately. This solution was available all the time to me, but it was not clear to me. It's an excellent product and I would have no hesitation in recommending it and buying it again.

Superb
Superb piece of hardware - "Serena" has saved my life on multiple occasions on some of the most complicated roads the UK has to offer And - she's not melted in any of the heatwaves - pretty sturdy

So far, so good!
We bought this TomTom GO 620 for our recent trip to France, which replaced a very old model we purchased years ago. I will admit that I bought this with trepidation having read the reviews but I really needn’t have worried - it’s a great little gadget! The TomTom was really easy to set up, just switch on, connect to your home WiFi and it automatically finds the updates. It took a long time to do the initial updates but I’m guessing that it needed to install some huge files. I connected the TomTom up to my iPhone which again was really easy although the instructions for doing so differ from those on the MyDrive app which I assume is trying to connect you to an Android or Windows device. Basically you connect the iPhone to the TomTom via Bluetooth and then turn on your personal hotspot to connect to the internet. Just be aware - most networks charge £££ for tethering devices abroad and don’t come as part of your roaming allowance so unless you’re happy to pay and you’re desperate for traffic updates I wouldn’t bother. The screen is much more responsive than my ancient TomTom and the menus are more intuitive too. The device is great at finding different addresses or places in the search facility. The mount is a massive improvement on previous versions, it is really easy to stick to the windscreen and the TomTom attaches with a strong magnet. So much easier to use. Overall I would say this is a great device for the money and I expect to get good use from it.

Great Upgrade
Tbh was really looking on upgrading my tomtom go sat nav I've had for about 5 years as it's been very good and still works but with the price being £129.99 it seemed to good not to buy and so glad I did Good points is can now update via WiFi and easy to add destination on the app and send to device so when you turn it on it's already there and just need to start journey, connects pretty quick tbh to GPS then my other one and the sound is loud and clear, touch screen is also improved aswell as sometimes didn't register on my old one, installed with lifetime map updates and speed cameras which will come very handy for the future Had a hard carry case for my old one which I tried and good job didn't buy one as the mount won't fit in it,bought one from ebay that's like a little laptop carry bag for £7.99 and is an excellent purchase to store the sat nav and everything else Travel bag case for tomtom go 6200,620,via 62,start 62 with accessories storage from digicharge seller for £7.99 Highly recommend sat nav and bag case

Excellent Sat Nav. Highly recommended.
I have recently bought three Sat Navs, and this is the best. An expensive £240. Garmin I bought always takes me on the B, windy windy and most dangerous routes. A major KNOWN problem with all Garmin sat navs. A cheap Awesafe sat nav i bought for £86. is totally useless, it does not even recognise simple post codes and its entertainment feautures do not work. I could not even update the maps from their useless website. As Amazon return period had passed i had to bin it. Tom Tom sat navs are the best, although i bough a cheaper model and have some problems with traffic and voice rcognition, but these are not important to me. Updating via router without the use of a computer is excellent.

Great SatNav but connectivity problems
I upgraded from the 610 because it was on offer and has updated functions, including wifi for updates and a WhatsApp and SMS facility whereby the device notifies you when you receive a message, offers to play the message through the device and also offers to send a small selection of predetermined responses with the touch of the screen. Unfortunately, I have never been able to send a reply, despite having the latest Android phone. Biggest issue is connectivity. I had to send the first one back because even with five bars, it often failed to connect so no live traffic etc. The replacement seems to fall over less but has failed a few times - something the 610 never did. Shame. Great device but if connection to Tomtom services is unreliable, waste of time and money.
