Can you only burn wood in this stove and how often do you have to keep throwing wood into it?

You can chuck wood or coal in it... the deciding factor on regularity is how big the space is that you want to heat. I use mine in a big tent and it’s brilliant in sub-zero temperatures.

Is this suitable to use outside and inside a greenhouse or potting shed?

Make sure you vent the pipe to the outside...we were out at the weekend and cut a vent into our tent....it was a very large tent and the hole was secured with fire resistant material...it worked great...it will need good ventilation and NEVER leave it unattended...at least close the door...will be using it in the garden tonight...another wee tip is to keep it elevated on something as well as it sits rather low to the ground...
