Very handy and functional. Well made and should last a long time
Anything to dislike? Well only that I wrongly judged this to be suitable as a compost bin to keep on the worktop but it was a bit bigger than I imagined. My fault I should have read the dimensions more closely! Anyhow I have one now as a waste-bin in my bathroom as it can easily be lined with a bin-liner of appropriate size and the other I use in the Kitchen on the floor out of the way of feet and it serves as a very useful storage bin for Onions Garlic and Root Ginger keeping odours inside and it's very easy to clean. First rate and good value for money. I can only recommend it to anyone needing such a useful versatile bin. Carrying handle acts as a lid-lock so no doggy can raid it!

Perfect slug and snail collecting bucket
Food caddy? No no, this little lidded bucket is used for collecting slugs and snails from my garden at night to stop the sods eating my chilli and pepper plants. Having tried all manner of wool pellets and copper tape to stop these molluscs actually getting to the plants it turns out that the best defence is removal from the area. And as any self respecting snail or slug will vacate themselves from a normal bucket in about 40 seconds, you need one with a lid like this. So this bucket is perfect as you flip the lid open, drop the snail/slug in and close it again - stick a few leaves in and a drop of water to keep them hydrated. Then by the light of day I release them all 300M away the other side of a river - job done.On the first night I collected about 70, then 20 odd the next night and now down to 4 or 5 only after 5 nights. This is the best way to get rid of snails and slugs and this caddy/bucket is perfect for it

A neat little caddy
The caddy arrived quickly. It's just what I need. I had been using a perforated caddy with biodegradable bags, but got annoyed with the time it took for the bags to break up in the compost bin. Iām now using Japanese fermenting buckets with tight lids for my kitchen waste. I intended to keep one inside beside the sink, but it was too tall and awkward, so outside the kitchen door it went. This little caddy looks good and sits neat in the space I have. I put the kitchen waste directly into it, adding some microbes at the end of the day to get the fermenting going, and empty it into the bigger bucket when it gets full. The material decomposes quickly and, because of the closed system, no chance for flies or rodents to gain access to the waste. Works for me!

Doing it's job just fine.
As a composter it is ok although not as robust perhaps as the one distributed by our council some years back. However, I got it to sit around the corner from our log burner and to store in it paper and other access for said burner. It looks neat and does the job.

Handle helps lock down lid in 2 positions - does the job and nice small size for storsge in kitchen.
Great for the price, the handle 'locks' the lid shut in 2 positions (vertical carrying mode or standard position in front of the caddy). Have moved to an area that doesn't recycle food but as household waste collection soon fortnightly wanted to double bag food waste for hygiene etc. Similar size to those provided by councils in areas that do recycle food waste, although slightly flimsier build. So far is doing job well so would recommend.

Been using the kitchen caddy a few days and it's so great. It's the perfect size for the 6L biobags ...
Order update.....Been using the kitchen caddy a few days and it's so great. It's the perfect size for the 6L biobags and really fits loads of food waste in!With the tight fitting lid had no smells yet even after a few days of food waste, as vegetarians who eat plenty fresh food we have alot of peelings etcIt fits really well on my worktop behind the worktop saver, so I can just throw straight into it as I prep meals...so handy.Photo is of the caddy almost full...it's now ready to be emptied after a few days of use

Dog poo transporter
I don't use this as a food waste bin but I do use it for transporting dog poo poo to the local dog poo poo bin. It does the job perfectly and the lid locks into place to keep out the unpleasant aroma. You could use it for various things really and yes that does include using it for food waste.

Used as small discreet portable loo for camping trip.
Family member sought small discreet loo with locking lid for camping trip - this was ideal and prevented lonely late night walks across wet grass to shower block. Other similar options were far too big. However, caddy is small & low so good technique is needed. Suggest practice at home first.
