This mount doesn't fit the Garmin out front mount that comes with the edge 530. The underside of the Garmin mount is a male twist fit like the underside of the edge unit itself. This means it doesn't fit. All is not lost however as I have a Velochampion mount on another bike which it fits perfectly so haven't wasted time or money. Still need to find a GoPro mount that actually fits the Garmin edge mount

This adapter is great for getting that central location for your action camera. The mount fits well into the original Garmin Out Front mount and it is very study, holding the camera steady instead of flapping around like handlebar mounts can do. On receiving the mount I saw that it was made of sturdy metal, and power coated with a black paint. Upon seeing this I decided to use two fibre washers on each screw so that the plastic and metal parts would not touch, but would be only tenths of a millimetre away.Smart thinking, at least I thought it was. It was however not as smart as it could be. When I mounted my Garmin computer into the Out Front, and rotated it I suddenly heard a scraping sound. I stopped and reverse the rotation, removing the computer and looking at the rear. The screws provided with the mount were 2/10th mm too long and they had shaved plastic off my Garmin. I was furious, but it was too late. I removed the mount and searched around the garage. Eventually I found two thick metal washers and replaced the fibre washers with these. Screwing in the mount again I saw that the screws were now recessed over 1 mm and tried to mount it again. It was fine this time, but my Garmin is now damaged.I can only urge all buyers to invest in thick washers to space out the mount from the Out Front. I have notified Amazon of the issue and demanded that the seller is informed. If I didn't have the problem of the screws being too long then I would have given this a 5 star review.

It's well made and nice and solid. My GoPro attaches to it very securely. I didn't use the screws provided, so cannot comment on that. It works really well with my Garmin mount and is a neat solution to use both your Garmin device and GoPro together. I did use a tether on my GoPro when I first used it (I would recommend everyone does this - just in case it fails - as you don't want your expensive GoPro bouncing down the road!). However, several weeks on, it's still securely attached to my Garmin mount, so I'm a bit more casual about attaching a tether.

The description claims that "the screws are the correct length to fit in the following mounts; - Garmin branded "Garmin Edge Out Front Bike Mount"". This is NOT true. I own the Garmin Edge Out Front Bike Mount and the bolts supplied are too long which results in you being unable to attach the quarter turn Garmin GPS unit. I've had to make my own washer from some 1mm rubber to between this adapter and my Garmin Edge Out Front Bike Mount. NOT ideal and certainly not fair for those who may not have materials or ability to do this.

Brilliant to mount my bike light under an integrated cockpit Garmin mount. The only negative - for my Garmin light at least - it doesn't grip tightly enough to set the angle. Luckily there is a rear plastic bump that holds my particular light in a decent enough position.

The adapter is flawless, but the 2 small screws are way too long for any Garmin mount (tested on 3 different ones). They have to be cut/grined to fit (at least 1,5mm).Since this size of screws are hard to find, this issue would represent a deal breaker for me, if I knew it before buying 2 of these...

Arrived on time. Removed two screws from the genuine Garmin mount and installed the Adapter. Screws perfect length so no thread protruding to scratch the bottom of my computer as raised by other reviewers. I don't have a GoPro, I have a COOAU but the adapter fitted perfectly to the camera case

Does not fitI bought this to sit on the underside of my garmin out front mount with the intention that it would support a GoPro below. The screws allow it to mount on top instead of the garmin head unit, but not underneath (as I wanted). So that’s your choice ( it’s a garmin branded mount , not a generic one)
