Bodum 10606-10 BISTRO Espresso Mug Set (Double-Walled, Dishwasher Safe, 0.45 L/15 oz) - Pack of 2, Transparent

I initially got these for my fiancé as a gift when he bought a coffee machine, since then we've replaced all our mugs with these beauties. Yes they are expensive, but really you get a whole different experience drinking from these than any other mug. I love that you don't have to use coasters, they are cool to the touch even with the hottest drink in them. Making a coffee with them becomes an experience, as you can see the liquids mixing inside the mug which is usually hidden. I love serving guests a drink in them, it really looks spectacular having a hot chocolate with whipped cream in these and creates a talking point. I thought the branding of Bodum underneath would bother me but when there's a drink in there I don't notice it, plus it means you know you got it from a good brand when there's quite a few copycats about. The 0.45l ones have easily replaced the large mugs my fiancé used to swear by, whilst still being easy to carry and not seeming too big. Finally, as it's glass, cleaning is easy with a simple wipe with a sponge, or being dishwasher safe they can go in there no problem. I have had no problems with leakage in between the layers or breakage. 10/10 mugs.

Took me a while to purchase double walled glass as a lot of reviews say they cracked easy I finally took a chance with these as got good reviews and I'm not disappointed, definitely holds heat a lot more then ceramic mugs. Easy to clean and looks great seeing your drink. Can't recommend highly enough. You won't be disappointed.

Bought the largest size, 0.45 and they are great.We really wanted these as they look so cool but also the functionality of them keeping my hot drinks a lot hotter for longer was also very appealing.A lot of people seem to have complained about them breaking, being brittle and not being stable on a surface due to the rubber pressure valve at the bottom. Mine are fine standing up and don't find them being brittle at all. Don't get me wrong, they do feel a little different to how you would expect but that is because they are made of borosilicate glass opposed to normal glass meaning they are lighter so gives the sensation of brittleness but I have found the strong and when my wife drops them in the sink and they don't break, I generally count that to mean they are pretty strong!Overall, great looking mugs, the large size is indeed pretty large so you better be sure you want that much coffee before ordering! Lightweight due to a good use of borosilicate and finally they keep my coffee hot for a lot longer than my normal ceramic mugs, so much so I already have 6 of these and will get a couple more to bin all the ceramic stuff!

Well, I've seen a few reviews complaining these mugs are "fragile" so I had to chip in, as it were. And I guess if you want to buy a mug in your teenage years and still be sipping from it in your dotage, then perhaps these are not for you. I've bought 3 pairs over the years, got 4 mugs left, guess that means I cracked 2 over the last several years. Not a bad result. They are blown glass and you shouldn't lob them carelessly in the general direction of the dishwasher and hope for the best. However they are not fragile crystal, they withstand daily use, and as a good-sized mug that will keep your tea piping hot, they can't be beat. These mugs are our daily go-to, my Earl Grey stays hot to the very last sip. I'm visiting this page to order another pair, lest I carelessly slam my own against the sink (as I suspect some reviewers have). Treat them with reasonable care - and enjoy a nice hot cuppa every time!

These are great glasses, I bought them over two years ago and don't write reviews until I know how good or bad something is. I use the glasses at least twice daily for coffee. I bought them mainly because my coffee would go cold in a normal mug over the time I took to drink it which I didn't like. Using these glasses the coffee stays hot until I've finished which is perfect for me. It's a bonus that you can see the coffee through the glass and I don't know why some other reviewers said the glasses were very fragile, I have not broken mine and I stir the coffee with a metal spoon and have lightly bumped the glass whilst washing them against the sink and tap and they have been fine. I do hand wash them as the dishwasher doesn't get filled fast enough for them to be ready when I need them for the next cup of coffee. Absolutely excellent glasses.

The capacity when filled to the brim is actually 18 fluid ounces and not 15 fluid ounces.It's very good, therefore, for hot chocolate, but probably too big for tea, and possibly coffee, I rarely manage to finish a whole coffee before some has gone cold.The insulation & general quality is very good, however it is made of glass and will break if you drop it or smack it into things but it's fine in the dishwasher.Keeps cold things cold & hot things hot...I have a hot cup of tea and a choc ice in mine right now ;-)

Lovely mugs. Visually stunning. They were very well packed and arrived very quickly. I've been using them for a couple of months now, no scratches, cracks or condensation between the walls. I love the size.My only tiny niggle is that the liquid doesn't stay warm for very long. Maybe 45 mins? Of course that depends on ambient temperature. I usually fill the cup with hot water before I brew, to try and maximise the lasting warmth.If they broke, I would replace them, and I don't often say that.

The instruction says these cups are dishwasher safe, but one of them got water inside the glass just after being washed once in dishwasher. I complained to the Amazon customer service about this, also my cleaner threw away the package already, so I couldn't return these cups. The customer service person I chatted with wanted to offer me 30% of the full price as refund! But 50% of the products is faulty, and if I continue to use the other cup, I will have to hand wash it every time. I got full refund eventually but still disappointed about the quality and surprised to see how the customer service handle this.
