Although the price on these tapes is very pricey you do get the quality you pay for. Price aside, they are a invaluable tool if you are self shooing or filming for a university course/ interested in camera and working on small features where you need to supply your own kit for your department.It's industry standard and out of all the tapes I've come across I'd say it's one of the best on the market. I've used this tape across several productions and its been great so far, no scissors required an easy tear and it gives a clean cut. In cold weather the tape isn't as tacky but if you give it a little rub down it sticks better.They are great for marking out actors positions and taping up cards, monitors, kit etc...If you're breaking into the industry asa Trainee I'd recommend getting 2 - 3 different coloured rolls (Red, White and Black or 1 Neon) advisable. Get some 1" film rolls too and wrap little strips of the gaff tape around and keep on a zip tie on your belt/ vest.

I buy this tape as grip on Hoops and contact staffs. works a treat.

Great for taping my Hula Hoop

I use this to wrap the handles of my Vic Firth 2B drumsticks, and it not only looks great, it's really grippy, helping to prevent the dreaded sweaty stick syndrome, where you reach out for a crash only to hit your bass player in the eye, as your slippery stick flies out of your hand and cartwheels across the stage!It's good for other stuff too.
